Yeah I said it because unless and until a massive amounts of appalling deaths happen, the west, particularly the US will not pay any attention to it. 35K is not enough for them. It is injustice, but that is the way it is.
The problem is by that logic, presumably you would be against any peace settlement short of either a two state or one state solution, since it prevents more Palestinians being killed.
I'd like to think that isn't what you want to say, but it is a reading that will occur to many.

The emotion behind my statement was one of frustration, loss of hope that the western leaders will do the right thing and a measure of acerbic sarcasm. I meant to express anger that although 35K dead people should appall and move the politicians here to act, we are still seeing the US, complicit in Israel's war crimes.

So, I'd be supportive of whatever measures they take to bring an immediate end to the war in Gaza. Followed by a more permanent resolution to the conflict.

I thought what I was conveying was clear enough but may be you are right. Intent cannot be conveyed with a post. But I also suspect some of the posters here with a pro-Israel agenda would love to misinterpret just to troll lol.
The big questions are really what happens after this ends.
Will Biden keep shielding Israel?
How do you fix Israel?
How do you keep those 2 million Palestinians alive?

Will this finally end?

Israeli truce proposal includes possibility of ‘restoration of sustainable calm’ in Gaza: Report

US news site Axios, citing two Israeli officials, reports that a new Israeli proposal for a possible deal with Hamas includes a willingness to discuss the “restoration of sustainable calm” in Gaza after an initial release of captives on humanitarian grounds.
According to Axios, the Israeli officials said the new proposal was formulated jointly by the Egyptian intelligence delegation and the Israeli negotiations team.
The new proposal is reported to offer a response to several of Hamas’s demands, including a willingness to allow the full return of displaced Palestinians to their homes in northern Gaza and a withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Netzarim Corridor, which splits the north of Gaza from the rest of the enclave.
Axios states that “the proposal also includes a willingness to discuss the establishment of a sustainable ceasefire as part of the implementation of the second phase of the deal”, which would take place after the release of the Israeli captives on humanitarian grounds.
This would mark the first time since Israel began its war on Gaza that Israeli leaders have shown an openness to discussing an end to the war as part of a deal to release the captives.

There is a long history on this board of people touting the line that "things should get worse so they can get better".

To me it sounded more like you were expressing frustration that it would probably take more deaths, which is why I asked (admittedly in a more confrontational way than necessary, perhaps).
But there are absolutely people who would say that a cease fire should be rejected because only more deaths would actually get enough international pressure on Israel to advance longer-term goals.

Every American president will shield Israel. Israel has way too much clout in the US. That is why I made the comment that a lot more Palestinians need to die, because not that I want them to, but there has to be a tipping point where it becomes too difficult for the US to shield Israel any longer. That point should have already come, in my opinion, but it hasn't yet.

For Israel minimally Netanyahu needs to be ousted.
The genocide needs to be the tipping point.

Anyone that believes what these Islamic terrorists say is a sucker. In Islam there's a action that lets you lie in name of Islam. Its called taqiyya. Its not about land, their goal is to kill Jews, Christians, hindus.
All religions possess sacred texts advocating the killing of other faiths; this isn't exclusive to Islam.

In the bible. Luke 19:27
"Now as for those enemies of mine who did not want me as their king, bring them here and slay them before me" Is this meant for the Jews?

In the Talmud:
“It is permitted to take the body and life of a gentile.” — TALMUD: Sepher Ikkarim III c 25.

“It is the law to kill anyone who denies the Torah. The Christians belong to the denying ones of the Torah.” — TALMUD: Coschen Hamischpat.

So you would be ok with the US not prosecuting Israel, just not interfering?
No other changes in US policy?
Not interfering would be massive but of course cutting all funding to Israel would be great as well as registering AIPAC as foreign lobbyists.
So much could be done but even allowing the UNSC, ICC and ICJ to have some relevance would be a major win.

But that also depends on what you think can happen, should happen or will happen.

This is why I joined the cult of Cthulhu. He doesn't want anyone killing anyone. He likes to do the dirty work himself.

I see.
So to achieve this end goal, your plan is to - presumably - propose support for whichever party moves towards this end goal?
