Guess i won't have to worry about getting some good offers on the A and W app this weekend. This just keeps getting worse and worse.
At 13-10 (as of Monday), and 9-4 in the last 13 games at that time, this team seemed like it could have the same vibe as last year. Great pitching, great defence (overall) due to the outfield, but an extremely frustrating offence, that could get us in the 85-92 win range. Not an exciting or appealing team, but a somewhat effective one.

But then they are now about .to lose 4 games in a row, its very easy to get frustrated with them, and turn on them quickly. Bad offence always makes you feel worse about the team, And management did nothing to fix it... moves in past few years have been focused on improving defence.

Agreed. The first 3 batters hitting like they belong in the minors isn't helping anyting either. How long will this go on for?

And they are facing such "tough" pitching, Tonight a fifth starter from the minors is dominating them.

Yep pretty depressing. I just bailed on plans to go watch Jays in Boston in June. This edition of Jays painful to watch and not worth spending big bucks to see them in person.

There is not a pitching staff in either league that can prevent the Jays from making any pitcher look like Cy Young.

Tonight Mookie Betts had 3 at bats before Biggio had even come to the plate once.

They've already been no hit, and 1 hit this year. They 25th in league I believe with RISP.

You got Vlad up there making statements like "Well if the Jays don't extend, I'm going to get paid somewhere". Dude, your batting .206 with 3 HR's and your progressively getting worse every year and you have zero leadership skills.

I don't even want to wait and hope they turn it around anymore. The need to blow this up.

Do you trust Jethro Bodine to go Michael Bay on the current team? He's the one who frittered away the offense, h didn't get much in return.

Must be a King
Why do you say that?
He hasn't got shit all over em.

Jays can't score runs. Can't win games with only 1 or 2 runs. Pitching is good but they can't be perfect every game.

This Falefa kid looks like a good pitching prospect.
He went from playing shortstop to playing third base to pitching all in the same game. His fastball clocked a dizzying maximum speed of 74 mph.

At that point in the game with the Dodgers up 12-2 (2 blue jay hits) LA gave the starting team the rest of the game off and sent in all minor leaguers.

To be fair, 3rd base is his position. And the Jays have put him in left field and right field. Who's bright idea was that? Maybe they will put him in center next.
And he has a canon for an arm. But his footwork in the outfield, and his indecisiveness, reminds me so much of Canseco. I’m just waiting for a ball to bounce off of his head for a home run.

His market value can't be that high right now and I don't think he is the corner stone of a championship team. I hope the Jays do not sign him to a long term deal. Too immature + all the other issues mentioned by others in this thread. I hate the ice bucket. If this team doesn't turn it around in 3-4 weeks, blow it up.... players and management. Trade Vladdy if he goes on a hot streak to obtain maximum return.

He would’ve been so much better coupled with Teoscar Hernandez. But whatever I’ve said it 20 billion times lol and there’s always some white knight popping up talking about how Teoscar was going to be a free agent and how his defence sucks lol. They should have locked up Vlads Dominican big brother to a multi year when they had the chance. His presence, his leadership, his mentorship and protection in the order to Guerrero… The Jays really fucked that whole situation right up. Ross the boss says “let’s just sign a bunch of randoms to one year deals and hope that they click.”

Anyways I have said it all before. The handling of Hernandez was idiotic for the wrong reasons. A moronic view on clubhouse chemistry.

In today’s MLB you need a power lineup 1 to 9. The Blue Jays had such a scary lineup three years ago. If they kept that chemistry together, Vladimir Guerrero Junior could’ve developed into the player he was supposed to be. He’s a spoiled brat immature kid with tons of talent. He’s a little brother that needs to be surrounded by his elders. Keep the kid happy, keep the kid goofy, and let him slug it out. Ross Atkins has done everything in his power to take that all the way from Guerrero. Why?? That’s the real question that needs to be answered. Why??? Has he won World Series championships that I don’t know about where he applied this defence pitching run prevention theory over powerful offence?
