The jury deliberated for 2 days. I'm surprised it took that long
I should but since I moved into my aunts basement the rent has been killing me, the only time I get a break is when she lets me bang her, I know that sounds gross but it's better than when I lived with my grandmother.

Nah, if you follow the characters you'll see that few people changed their minds. And even fewer admitted their prejudices and that they were proven wrong.
Can you opine on the principles and maybe real life examples of when police officers, Crown Attorney's as individuals, or being sued civilly through their respective agencies?
So much gets said about 'qualified immunity' etc. But a lot gets conflated with US law. Both criminal and civil in the US.
But for purposes of this discussion, what kind of a case might Zameer have against the lying witnesses, the police chief who slandered him initially, the Crowns who obviously were very personally invested in seeing this case through.. no matter the evidence?
As you know, especially under Ontario's Domestic Violence policy (not law!), the mere breathing of an allegation agains a wife, husband, even a date results in charges being laid and then "letting the courts sort it out".
"Qualified immunity" doesn't exist in Canada. It's a US bullshit rule.
Lying witnesses are suable for mailicious prosecution. Out of court statements are libel.
The Crown is way too complicated for me to do off the cuff. Every lawyer in the world is instructed to lead evidence he / she thinks is lying bullshit. But the witness is entitled to be heard by the judge. But then, Crown's have special duties of fairness. This is a grad school exam question on legal ethics.

But I think that this Crown knowingly put witnesses on that he knew would give false evidence contrary to physical and his own expert witness. I'd not be surprised if the family sues. Then again, maybe they just need to move on and heal. They have already proven themselves to be good Canadians and have had enough taken from them. They need to focus on their own children and families wellbeing.

Honestly, I can't blame him, I don't think I would stop if I saw two plain-clothed officers telling me to stop after the increased high-profile carjackings taking place in the GTA (Grand Theft Auto). I am confident that his fellow officers will investigate the matter thoroughly. And after they do, I will report back with their findings and we'll take it from there."
And today, he would have the respect of everyone if his answer was: "The important thing is that we have fair and open Courts in Canada. This was a very complex case and I assure you that I will ensure we will conduct a review and analysis of this case. Losing one officer is one too many."

But, unfortunately, cops will become more militant like they are in the USA, but I doubt that will help matters since the mass immigration numbers will overwhelm whatever steps police departments take to address this situation. When Canada imports 1 million men from a third-world shit hole there is nothing that the security apparatus can do, unfortunately. Oh well, it's not my problem.
