And waitresses in diners need employed customers with pocket change so they too can pay income tax, and land taxes get their hair cut, change their oil who likewise…… Do you understand plants and small businesses and more, that pay employees who buy meals at diners also pay land taxes. So municipalities can pay their employees, be they fire/police/pen pushers.

So in the absence of anything else when those plants and small businesses go tits up or move to greener pastures and the municipality loses tons of revenue. From plants and small businesses, employees without paychecks, and waiters, hairdressers, and mechanics too without employed customers... so what does the municipality need to do so they can keep paying fire/police/pen pushers/garbage collectors/snow plows/road maintenance crews/ turn a dirt/gravel road into a paved road.
