Romano is a bum. Complete horseshoes up his ass. He hides behind his usage and his numbers.. looks better on paper, but he is not that guy to get you the most needed clutch win. He is a negative momentum shifter, Lol to be honest I don’t actually care. He just comes around to feel like one of the boys,, but he is absolutely nobody to appease.

Just kidding I don’t really care about Romano that much. I’m just “rambling.”

Watching the Rangers versus the Mariners yesterday was amazing. VIP tickets where you have all you can eat, and all you can drink including alcohol, amazing seats, and just a very good overall experience…. The buffet table in the Lexus VIP lounge has very good seafood to Texas barbeque. All you can eat and open until the 8th. I particularly liked the nacho chips with guacamoles, topped with pork belly and pulled pork. Mixed with some cherry flavoured Budweiser seltzers…. Now that’s a day at the ballpark!

I have tons of video and the system keeps telling me the files are too big. I was screaming for Teoscar to pay attention to me (where even the heckler were like huh?) I was saying go Jays go lol. Asshole didn’t even look at me.. I was filming him during each pitch, I stop for one pitch, and he literally hits a home run on the very next pitch. After how much I’ve been talking about him on this forum, how cool would that have been if I had that? Semian had 2 homeruns, Seager hit a bomb…. Great day, and a great Southern Hospitality. no regrets except for about an hour when my 2022 hybrid malfunctioned at a gas station in Sparta Kentucky. While we were hiding in my van, getting towed on the most narrow, steepest inclined, back roads of Sparta Kentucky to get to the dealership to fix my computer malfunction…. Being so highly elevated during the tow, and on such narrow roads watching these 200+ year homes with little tiny houses behind them…..(sadly, we know what those are- and Kentucky being one of the last states to offer freedom) I think for a moment I said to myself, what the fuck am I doing here? This part was a difficult experience. And after crashing off of so many Red Bulls, I found myself getting angry.

Wouldn't it be ironic with all this talk of 3 teams qualifying from the East (the best division in baseball etc.) or 3 teams from the West and their battle within the division, that Minnesota becomes the team to take the American League. We hear absolutely nothing about them. Stranger things have happened.

Right now you can get 7:1 odds on them. Having said the Jays are 8:1

Minnesota Twins and playoffs don't work well together.
Since 2004, Minnesota has lost 18 consecutive playoff games... 13 of them against the New York Yankees.

Of course every year is its own entity, so that past may have no bearing on the current.

The Twins and The Rangers both look good. Why doesn’t anyone talk about Corey Seager being one of the best players in the game. It feels like the guy is red hot, all the time. Speaking of The Rangers, Aroldis Chapman has had quite the resurrection. Great pick up for them. He’s 35 years old throwing 103mph all over again. He must be training with Roger Clemens lol.

If Seager wasn't hurt for over a month he'd be runner up to Ohtani for AL MVP.

For sure I can see that. What a fantastic player. Force to be reckoned with.

The good news for the Twins is they won't be facing The Yankees this year. :)

I believe despite the playoff, he is still the favourite in the 2nd place AL MVP odds ... saw them somewhere the other day.
He has had a hell of a year - as has Cody Bellinger in a comeback year.

Its amazing that the Dodgers lose them a few years back, and basically 3/5 of their entire rotation this year, and still keep chugging along... in the regular season anyways.

Marcus Semien has had a helluva year as well....I wonder when the last time a number one hitter got 100 rbi's...Which I assume he is going to get....

Oh man Philip gonna have his piece on here over Romano, lol.

Michael King shuts down the Jays again..

I remember when we used to hammer Gausman when he was an Oriole....He's so much better now.

Gerrit Cole on the mound tomorrow for the Yanks. Jays have to bear down here.

Fucken Vladdy, bases loaded , 2 outs, 3-0 count, does not swing at 2 fastballs right in his wheel house, then gets called strike 3.

Romano is a BUM!

They will lose against Cole tonght.

He really is. And he has mastered the art of limited use, and a clean ninth, and keeping his ERA under three which looks excellent on paper, but is really not clutch at all. These are must win games! I mean there will be those (not all) that don’t even deserve to be here. That will blindly defend him, throwing stats in your face and making other people feel like shit for having an opinion. All the while this particular person is absolutely nobody to appease, and if there was some sort of a minimum threshold INDUSTRY spend of one dollar in three years in order to qualify for access to this info on this board….. they wouldn’t even be allowed to come to the table to discuss anything.(perhaps a comic book forum is better suited)?

Anyways…..

Yes, I “wholeheartedly” agree with you. Romano is not clutch.

I think the "save" rule is too lenient. My understanding is that a relief pitcher can allow as much as 2 runs when he comes in with a 3 run lead and still get a save.

Once again I question Schneider's management of his bullpen. When you have one of the best bullpen's in the majors, why would he use a "closer" in the 9th inning of a 0 - 0 game when he has a bullpen full of rested arms after a day off and a starter who just pitched 7 innings?

Also, I'm getting tired of this using a relief pitcher for one inning and that's it. Especially in the last week of the season, when you should be abusing your bullpen, specifically the non-closers, because come the playoffs you have two starters (Ryu and Kikuchi) going into the bullpen.
