You know what I find weird? People who say the reason they hate "mainstream media" is because they give opinion instead of just facts. There isn't a collective agreement in existence that allows employees who are responsible for children to wear kink wear to work or for shop teachers to engage in ANY behavour that might distract students from their attention to nearby machinery (nevermind distracting them from any actual instruction). If the Trustees think that's what the collective agreement says, they need to be off the Board. Being that wrong about what can go on in a shop class could easily have led to a real injury. First rule of the shop - NO HORSEPLAY!

It wouldn't surprise me if any rules about accommodation were written without assuming you would have to "verify" the person. There is a long history of gatekeeping in trans issues and in general people often don't assume someone is going to specifically look for how to fuck with a system.
