Of course there's something you are missing. In fact, you are missing the point entirely. Menzies has had a fair bit of contact with Lemieux, perhaps more than any other reporter. Menzies has said that it is his theory that Lemieux is a sexual pervert that is deriving some sexual enjoyment from his antics. Not a disingenuous right winger trying to embarrass the school board. Not a genuine trans person. Not a cross dresser who wants to present as a woman as a matter of identity.
In other words, Menzies thinks Lemieux should not be working with teenage children in a position of authority. Seems like the kind of story an ethical journalist might stick with until there is some sort of resolution. Put another way, Menzies is doing the job that the Board of Education should be doing by actually getting to the bottom of Lemieux's fitness to teach.
And, of course, because Menzies has not been delegated any authority from the government, and is instead acting as a member of the free press, you absolutely hate what he's doing, authoritarian that you are!
