While I admire your idealism its just not rooted in reality. Even if climate change were an existential threat, which I don't believe it is, there is nothing we, as humans, can do about it. For instance, if we were to stop all global CO2 emissions by end of this decade, it wouldn't make a lick of difference to global temperatures.
Just curious. Do you have the same attitude towards gun violence in the U.S.? It's too entrenched in their society and any measures "wouldn't make a lick of difference".

some people just can not understand the difference between a subsidy (govt writes a check or pays above market value for product) and a valid capital cost deduction
Every profitable company in the country including wind and solar , oil and gas get to deduct capital cost depreciation of assets against their yaxable income
it is part of the tax code designed to encourage investment and economic growth

the same "some people" do not have a clue about economics
which is why they are confused about subsidies

Some people also said that if they were wrong about climate change and every scientist in the world wasn't lying to them, they'd be actively supporting the greatest crime against humanity ever committed.
1 billion deaths says one study.

21 inches of rain in 10 hours.
Totally normal.

So if it’s all that scary why aren’t you giving 80% of your salary to the cause and JT instead of asking others to sacrifice theirs. Also for your gain ( bike lanes, transit etc etc)

and why aren’t you demanding immediate quantifiable action instead of zero emissions in 50 years when that’s too late?

Also, you do understand that the 50billion in tax revenue each year, could easily buy EVs for the people that can’t afford them…..instead of subsidies for those that can….putting far more on the road, far faster….given the masses you don’t seem to care about greatly outnumber the “30%”??? Let alone ramp RnD up, plus more? I mean in 10 years that’s 500 billion…( in free EVs, Free heat pumps, free urgent electric grid upgrades, free Crucial and urgent RnD…).. And you have to wonder why. If I can see that, think of that. Why haven’t your hero’s?
or does $$$$ grow on trees?

Ramble, ramble, ramble.

Don't tell me what you think I'm doing or not doing and then tell me its wrong.
Stay in your lane and cheer for the climate change that will ruin your kids lives, should you have any.

I think most people other than gun owners and gun manufactures
do abhor gun violence. The media and politicians understandably are
invariably outraged whenever mass shooting strikes. Gun violence
tied to gun ownership is so entrenched in the society in the U.S.
that people may just have to live with it.

That being said I don't see the merit in drawing a parallel between
the issues of climate change and gun violence. It is true you cannot
solve gun violence by denouncing it. Nonetheless such denouncement
of gun violence is not as detrimental to society as silence about it
could be. We must not condone gun violence with silence even if
there is nothing we can do about it.

Decrying climate change while growing carbon emission is
counterproductive. It is like a doctor pleading the patient to
quit cigarettes while he himself was smoking like a chimney.
By now it is apparent that the threat of pending climate catastrophe
has totally failed to induce people to change their lifestyle in
any meaningful way to reduce their carbon footprint. I can only
surmise that climate warning has long ceased to have any significant
impact on individuals. Even worse the issue of climate change
might have distracted us from more urgent crises we are facing.
It may turn out that energy depletion is the more urgent issue
than climate change which somehow the world fail to realize
until it is too late.

A major new study involving 37 scientists from 18 countries has concluded that global temperature estimates since 1850 have been heavily contaminated by the growth of urban heat where the thermometers are sited.

The UN-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) claims that urban heat accounts for less than 10% of recorded global warming, but the scientists found that figure is nearer 40%. They observe that a rural-and-urban blend of temperatures indicates a long-term warming trend of 0.89°C per century, while a rural-only collection shows only a rise of 0.55°C in the same time period.

When you pave paradise. Not only do you kill countless living things that no longer have a place to live, and as you move up the food chain, other things ( something called carrying capacity) .

you strip shade providing. CO2 scrubbing trees , shrubs and cooling grasses. Replace that with heat reflecting pavement, concrete and glass towers

I'm sure that the 60+ years of global surface temperature direct from satellites doesn't impact your thinking. Either does the fact that the study you posted still lists a significant temperature increase.

Don’t miss this SPECIAL REPORT as Nick Cater takes us into the forests of Chalumbin, the site of a proposed wind farm.

The project poses a serious threat to what is one of the most important world heritage sites featuring “irreplaceable endemic species”.

Nobody takes Willie Soon seriously.
The list of your shoddy scientists is really tiny.
That doesn't worry you?

Did you read about the latest floods?
You don't think its unusual?

As I said, you are incapable of reading past the headline, even when you cut and paste the actual text.

p.s. Do you think satellites take surface temperature by dropping thermometers? Sorry but for the past 60 years, one of the main methods of temperature measurements has been of the entire surface.

I trust that you are better schooled in basic science than majority of posters
here. As such you may be more likely to be able to help me out with finding an
answer to this question: What is the uncertainty of the reported rise in global
temperature?

The thermometer in my living room has an uncertainty of
plus/minus 0.05 deg. What uncertainty you would assign
to the reported rise in global temperature?
