The proposed solution of eradicating men to stop mass shootings is very forward thinking, very extreme, absolutely absurd, and would make radical feminists happy. Therefore it's woke enough to post and be taken seriously. I spoke to 52 different genders today and they all agreed.

Of course there are. I live in the real world.

Another qualifier would be suicides. Remove those from the stats and things look even rosier.

Someone intent on killing themselves will be successful at it one way or another.
They are counting deaths by gun. For most sane people it is specific and not open to interpretation. A person died and a gun was the instrument of death. It doesn't matter who the person or how the gun was used or the purpose of the gun use.

The fact that you are placing qualifiers is idiotic, but not surprising.

People didn't smile in photos before the modern era.

.

Enough lessons for you today. I didn't know I was signing up to be a online professor when registering a TERB account.
You couldn't qualify to be a professor to a class of toddlers.

Because you don't live in the Toronto neighborhoods where people get shot, robbed, and assaulted. You're insulated from the violence but talk a big game. You should go into politics. Tell the peasants what is good for them and what they deserve.
I've spent much of my life in those neighbourhoods. I wouldn't be wandering the alleys at 3:00 AM and I didn't mouth off at dealers but other than that....
In my youth just like now, the vast majority of people shot in Toronto are either directly involved in gang activity or hanging around with them.

I guess you've been too insulated and groomed to live in fear.

I wouldn't call someone that owns multiples of anything a pejorative term unless they were using said items for nefarious reasons.
Depends why they own them.

If they have them because they hunt a variety of prey then I wouldn't call them that. If they own so many guns to defend themselves from tyrannical governments, dress up and play militia, or constantly worry about guns being taken away then maybe the shoe fits.

This is the problem today. When people back in the day owned guns, they used it as a tool. Today they use it as swag or to appear tough, militaristic or manly to overcompensate and then use some extreme right wing talking points.

Over 415 million guns owned, virtually all responsibly.

They used it as a tool to fight off the British, to keep Black citizens enslaved/indentured, to protect their families/communities, to hunt, and for sport. Like many tools, it can be used for good or for bad.

Using guns for swag and toughness is the domain of gangbangers and their wannabes (you know, the people murdering each other by the thousands every year, that you ignore). Untrained, undisciplined. However haphazardly, they use it effectively enough to kill each other.

In the US, kids used to bring guns to school, gun safety was even taught in some schools as recently as the 1990s. A shame they didn't do it here or when you were in school. You would have learned about the subject that you have such strong feelings for yet know so little about.

I know that people like you are scared straight at the mere thought of holding a gun. You want everyone to share your deep-seated cowardice.

We're at the stage where weak men create hard times. Hard times are coming.
