I am against guns, but am for self-defense. I find it ridiculous that a woman (or man) can't even legally carry mace or pepper spray, or any kind of defense. That law should be changed. But I think people are afraid it will open a can of worms.
Pepper spray has limitations. Over the years, I've volunteered to be pepper sprayed in the course of various training and it had minimal effect. Every individual is different however if it can't keep me down, there are many people out there for whom it would also have little impact.
