So what you're saying is...Erik Swanson better be good!
I'll take my power hitting Dominican leader over clutter in the bullpen any day. Especially with Pearson throwing seeds like he currently is.

okay I quit I quit I quit I'm done lol.

No you're not...if Hernandez hits an opening day home run you'll remind us of the deal.

Maybe I'm too old school. Why have a Plan B when plan A was working just fine. I don't know. All your Atkins lovers are a handful. I give up. Lol

History has taught us that if it is not among the elite, then change course after a couple of years and try something different.

In the late 80's to early 90's the Jays were just not getting to the last level they changed course with the Carter/Alomar trade and it got them there. We gave up Crime Dog and Fernandez in the deal. One that loads of fans were not too pleased about.

Losing Teoscar and Gurriel is tough, however maybe this change is what is needed to change the chemistry of this club and get to that next level. From an offensive productivity perspective we should be equal, if not better and defensively, we are now way ahead. Plus it adds a much needed left handed bat in the line-up.

I know those moves very well and you're right. Fernandez and McGriff for Carter and Alamar. We can even look at DeRozan for Leonard. Or even the upgrade from Mosby to Devon White. It Is a good solid team, that needed to make that move to get them over the hump. This makes so much sense. I get it. I see it I understand it.

Aside from the relief pitcher, the lefty prospect that they got slides right into the Blue Jays top prospects list. That's great for them. Really is..... but I'll still put my money on Hernandez as a better game changer compared to what they traded him for. Pound for pound there was no upgrade imho. It was just clearing him out to make a room. I don't agree with that because I feel like they lost a kick ass player for a non comparable value. Too much wishful thinking and hoping for development. I don't agree with clearing a house in the process. Gotta keep your experience and greater odds for production. Hernandez started developing this bad ass swagger. I saw a lot of Bautista in Hernandez.

This is all opinion based and I guess it really comes down to how this plays out.

I'm with you Philip, got my placard all ready. I hated the Teo trade.
Thank you.

Hernandez is a stud. Poorly handled with his extension possibilities, and traded away for a bag of baseballs, and a jar of pinetar lol.... i'm joking.

our outfield starters has improved from one of the worse defensively in baseball to one of the best
our nimber one defensive fielder of last year in Springer is now our number three
all our eras will improve for this reason alone
Our ERA's better improve as you just got rid of a lot of runs and RBI's.

Asshole Ross Atkins has no concept of our 80s Dominican Blue Jay heroes. :)

Rookie lefty Ricky Tiedemann looked good yesterday, 1 IP, 2 Ks, 100 mph on radar gun.
He's 6'5", 220lbs, just 21 years.

Is he in the HOF?
Nope. He was one of those borderline guys.

He was great in his time but it was back problems, I believe, that cut his career short. He played for 14 years but his peak years were from '84-'89 (he batted over .300 each of those 6 consecutive seasons) after which he never reached 20 home runs or batted .300 again. As such, he only had about 2,100 hits and 222 HRs. Not really HOF numbers.

I have a ball that he grounded into the right field stands. I was in the first row. It now has autographs from about 8 Blue Jays from the '93 championship team on it.
