And, I agree that you can't make someone gay or straight. So, the question here is, why does learning about LGBTQ stuff bother you so much? I mean, they don't learn anything that isn't age appropriate (like, they aren't taught what a bottom is or how to scissor), but they might learn that even people who have different love interests are still worthy of our respect. Is that what bothers you about all of this?
I mean, if you strip out the pearl-clutching "what about the children" right-wing media hysteria, what is the issue here? It's just like how conservatives are suddenly freaking out that kids might learn about the barbaric nature of slavery in the US, or that the civil war wasn't really about State's rights. Shouldn't schools teach the truth? And, being taught not to hate someone based on their skin colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation is a good thing. But, please, explain to me why it isn't?
