In the US it's a bit worst because they only have 2 side. It has become to the point you are either a left libtard or a dump racist republican.

Not much in between.

In canada we do not have such extreme polarization.
I think you are trying to make an overly simplistic point that you gleaned from reading or watching American cable news. Extreme partisan views find a home on cable news.

Not at all. In the US you are pretty much born either a democrat or a republican. There is not much space for a real debate.

I always laugh at this argument.

If men were truly in charge the would be strip clubs and brothels on every street corner, and women with tits of an angel would provide BJs and FS for 5 bucks and no guilt.
You mean if the assholes were in charge.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interfere with your astute observations about American life.

Valcazar, I think you inadvertently made the point about "wokeism".
I think you also just made his point.

Though I'd update his statement to:
But yes, the MAGA movement is a call for palingenetic ultranationalism tied strongly to racial themes and a normalization of violence as a political tool using fascist messaging targeted at angry, unintelligent marks.

The US has a long history of building up a 'base' of easy marks.
See Jim and Tammy Fae Bakker, Keneth Copeland.......

I like to bring things to very simplistic ideas that everyone can understand ;)

In the US it's that simple because politically you can only choose between 2 opposite side.

Don't get me wrong I like the US. I travel to the US about 15 times per year. I just wish american's would be more pacific and much less religious!

Well, the whole getting pregnant while being raped thing is apparently overblown!
I had no idea, but now know the truth thanks to the brilliant statement of Republican Karianne Lisonbee.

Republicans are a different breed of species. No offence but if only men could get pregnant too like my meme says there would be abortion clinics like Starbucks on every corner. I honestly just can't deal with guys like him he lives on another planet.

Totally, but for clarity's sake my post was satirical and the idiot Republican is a woman.

As long as you brought it up, this was very clear looking at the results. This anti-Trump shift in the suburbs was starting to be evident in 2018.
If you are a partisan Democrat, this should be a concern. Can the Democrats hold the suburbs with Trump off the ballot? That is why the liberal media will be covering Trump like he's on the 2022 Republican ticket.
The U.S. suburbs are not really galvanized around most of the Democrat's policies. If Trump's not running, I don't think they really care if they're called racists, reactionaries or whatever.
They probably aren't thrilled with Dobbs. Preliminary reports - albeit from Dem sources - indicate a spike in voters saying that they will vote Dem in November.

At what point do you separate Trump from the GOP? Trump is a senile, obese, narcissistic incompetent. But who in Orange Co really gives a fuck? Donno made it through 1 term without a nuclear war, a national bankruptcy or appointing a commie or open transexual to high national office. In a lineage that includes morons like Dubya and Reagan, that's a reasonable achievement.

Why would they vote for a GOP that is now openly rocking the boat on all manner of established national policies and is pushing "guns, Jesus and babies" down the throats of folks who probably don't go to church, are probably afraid of guns and probably worry that they might need a discrete abortion or two along the way?

If you're sophisticated enough to realize that Trump is a grifting charlatan, then presumably you realize that what the GOP is now clearly all about is pretty disturbing. I'm suspecting that Joe the accountant and Janet the legal assistant might be figuring that it's all heading to a very weird, fucked up, disruptive place and it's time to hit the kill switch by voting blue.

Trump may be gone but the GOP has been changed in his image.

History should tell us that democracies are hard to build and easy to destroy. Unless there is some massive scandal that turns off even Rupert Murdoch, the GOP will try to turn the US government into a Hungary/Poland/Brazil model.

I truly believe that all you need to realize that is half a brain, eyes and ears. Or even one eye and one ear.

I know, you are looking for original thinking like using nukes on hurricanes and injecting disinfectant to cure covid.
Sorry to disappoint you.
See that was funny Frank. Did you check out "How To Be Witty and Clever on Social Media" from the local library?

Repeating something someone posted back at them is kind of silly.

I noted very recently that "abortion battles will occur in the suburbs of Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Charlotte.........suburban American voters are very pragmatic and adept at sorting out issues. They will support many conservative issues and then support liberal issues when they feel the need arises." Suburban Republicans have been divided on abortion for some time.

These predicted great shifts in the American polity are generally fleeting if not entirely illusory.
