Tamara Lich was charged with counselling to commit mischief and has been denied bail. Again, she was denied bail while charged with counselling to commit mischief. Anyone remember a situation when bail was denied for such insignificant charge? All the supporters of JT, do you see where the country is going to now?

P.S.: the Parliament vote on Emergency Act was a joke: because it was a confidence vote, MPs had to vote based on the party line. Some Liberal MPs said that they would have voted against it but they did not want to trigger another election. Some democracy...

Democracy and due process is all but dead in Canada.

I am gonna leave myself a reminder to report her husband for tax evasion in 2023 when he does not report that private jet flight as a taxable benefit.

It was the decision of the Judge for her being denied bail, has nothing to do with JT or the Liberals.

Kirk doesn't realize that the bail court JP is provincially appointed by Duggo and has nothing to do with the Liberals at all. Shhhhh! Don't tell him. That way, he can continue to make a fool of himself.

Don't know how you can make this argument when not only did Parliament approve the use of the Emergencies Act (and would have regardless if it was or wasn't a confidence vote), and Lich got a bail hearing. If there was no due process, she'd be thrown in the hole and we wouldn't hear from her.

Now, I'm no lawyer, but the judge mentioned she could face a lengthy jail term if found guilty. So, the charges are above a summary offence, so it's either indictable or a hybrid situation. Though I do laugh when her husband argued their first amendment rights were being violated. Makes me think Ontario and the other provinces should spend more time on civics, so people know what the fuck they are talking about related to the charter, the powers of the Feds and Provinces, and the power of the GG...

Also, I suspect that if the roles were reversed, and it was a group of First Nations or BLM that blocked up Ottawa, a lot of you clutching your pearls right now would be leading the call for direct action from the PM, like the use of the EA....

People are foolish to think that the courts will restore any freedoms to Canadians.

Do you really want change? Donate to the NDP today! If they had any money, they wouldn't have voted for implementing emergency measures, nor would they be holding back their condemnation of Liberal overreach. Don't worry. You could give them a few billion dollars and they still wouldn't be elected, but at least we'd get an election.

Of course, the next thing will be to freeze the bank accounts of those who heed my advice!

Interesting fact today. Checked my search history on LinkedIn today, and for the first time I had 2 searches by CBC employees!

The key takeaway here is what we are talking about is what the the Liberals DID ACTUALLY DO, and not about what you contend other governments might do (but never actually did when they had the chance).

Your right, when those group protested, they were met by police who would never have allowed them to block traffic for three weeks.

And, let me remind you, in relation to your other recent post about courts restoring freedoms. The charter is still in effect. We have lost nothing. Everything will return to normal in 30 days. People will still be allowed to protest, but not block roads and bridges.
