I had tickets for that game. Gave them to my parents for a night out. If only I had known! Oh well, they remembered it to their dying day.
I remember listening to that game on the radio when Tom and Gerry were calling games. Seems like a lifetime ago with today's media coverage.

Jays are looking better and better.

They're young and healthy and most of their components are peaking at the right time.

Ryu worries me a bit though but their other three starters are solid.

I have a sneaky feeling that Springer is going to really light it the last ten games o the season or so. He's had a habit of coming through and playing his best ball when it counts the most.

Gurriel has impressed me the most as of late........He's as underrated as they come.

Ryu is inconsistent.

Over the next few games, schedule favours NYY. Jays play far and away the best team in the Majors. NYY play far and away the worst.

If they have any professional pride, maybe the humiliating licking they took over the weekend will provide some motivation. Who better to take it on than the hated division rival Yanks.

As well, many of them are playing for contracts.

They don't seem to have a bullpen that rates above girls' softball team level.

The Jays are playing the Rays, who have the 3rd best record in baseball, not “far and away the best” and the Yankees are playing the Twins, who have the 7th worst record in baseball, not “far and away the worst”.

Minnesota takes a 5-0 lead on the Yankees, outhits them 9-5, and still manages to lose 6-5 in 10 innings. Thanks a whole bunch, Twinkies.😖
