The Rays had a man on second with nobody out.

...if he weren't a pitcher, Robbie Ray would be Rocco Siffredi.

Clutch win for the Jays, Jordan "Vic" Romano gets the Rays eliminated.

The Jays are focused in full Eddie Murphy "Trading Places" mode. In regards to the Red Cocks and Wankess, "we gonna kill the motherfuckers, gonna kill em".

Yeah!

Bo now up to 93 RBI's. Marcus at 94. Looks likely that Jays will have 4 guys w more than 100 RBI's and 2 guys (Grichuk and Gurriel) w over 80.

What are your thoughts on the managers of both teams?
Heard something on the radio today. One through 25 the Rays have the best team in baseball. They don't have best top five but they have best 25. They have balance right through to their last man. Whereas most teams don't even come close to that. In a 162 game schedule that's a game changer.

Their pitching philosophy is completely unorthodox as well. Most teams try to get the greatest length out their starters but the Rays can't wait to get to their bull pen where they just out match teams hitters with fresh arms. And the end of the year they usually don't have one pitcher with enough innings to qualify for the ERA title. But at the same time their not over taxed and burned out.

So Kevin Cash and company just figured out a way to beat the old guard ideology at a game in which change isn't to common. It's brilliant if you ask me.

Charlie Montoyo too me takes his marching orders from above in the organization. I feel he has very little input in a lot of decisions. But he speaks Spanish and that was what the doctor ordered for now. But realistically you could plug a lot of managers in where he is right now and the results would be the same. Seems like the players play hard for him though. I'll give him that. But Semien and Springer were huge additions leadership wise and that can't be discounted. Jays will be in the playoffs this year......Book it.

A players manager but at the same time isn't afraid to make hard choices. Moved Gary Sanchez down to ninth in the order last week. Correct move. Kept on putting Odor at third even though he had never played there before. His throws were terrible. So wrong move. Moved Torres off short. Right move. he's awful there.

Personally I like him and the players respect him. I'll be disappointed if they let him go. He's been given an extremely flawed team to work with. I don't blame him one bit. It pains me to say this but I don't see them making the post season. They just at this juncture don't have the pitching to compete against the better lineups. From the seventh on is just an odyssey. Jays and Boston just have stronger teams right now.

It sounded stupid when I was posting this about 4-6 weeks ago but the Jays' Magic Number to clinch the #1 Wild Card spot is 16 with 16 games to go.

By comparison, Boston's M# is also 16 but with only 14 games to play. For Oracle, Yanks' is 17 with 15 games to play.

Tampa's number to clinch the division is 9 with 16 games to play. It means that Toronto will be in it, at least mathematically, until the last week of the season.

Jays were up 2-1. Mark Shapiro joins the broadcast team for an interview. As he's being interviewed Ryu is getting shelled. Talk about embarrassing. How much longer does Ryu have on his contract?

He won't be a free agent until 2024, so Jays are on the hook for the rest of his $80 million dollar contract for next 3 years.

If he's washed up we're fucked

I think so, he's done.
I say Stripling should be reinserted into the rotation, he gave up a HR last night, but that was most likely due to rust since coming back from the IL.
