Sam the Record Man and A & A...I use to walk to each one for the better price.
I was about to post this literally seconds before you did.
Apparently they were planning on opening 3 stores in the GTA. But with Covid, who knows.
I’m not sure...I heard something about that too, though.
for Sam,s it was upstairs, turned right and i got my Soul and R&B fix
Sad story. Owner had a massive fatal heart attack while at the airport and his spouse really couldn’t run the business. It was visited by Royalty back in the day.

It’s only been gone a few years but it used to be on Elm avenue (Not Elm street Freddie Kruger fans) just near Yonge and Dundas.
Used to love going there.
Now all we have is Indigo and Amazon....and the library.

Towers Dep Store Dupont and Dufferin , I played my first ever video game at that store Space Invaders and a multitude of others, it was like my second home!! Also Fotomat I think there was one on Roncesvales south of bloor st on the west side.
