SPUR Gasoline Stations. I had one just up the road from me. I cut the gas at the station for the owner. You could get a bottle of pop and a bag of Hostess chips for a quarter. The bottle was bigger than the current 710 ml. bottles. The tall skinny bottles, not the short little ones. And the chip bag had about as many chips in it as the current 220 gram bags. Yes fans a bottle of Coke and a bag of Roasted Chicken chips on a hot, breezy, sunny day in July, sitting in the shade of a big apple tree. Those were the days. (P.S. Don't forget the penny candy also)

Frank's Hot Dogs.

They were located on the east side of Yonge Street just north of Dundas. Open 24 hours. Them and Fran's were just about the only place to get something to eat late at night or early in the morning after getting out of the bars on Yonge back in the 60's.

Boots Drug Stores
They're a UK drugstore. Were they in Canada at one point?

Speaking of the UK, Marks & Spencer. They are long gone from Canada.... My grandma used to buy biscuits and yummy treats there when I was little. :)

Did you know the secret path to get from the Eaton Centre to the front of the bookstore without having to go outside?
No, I don't remember that!

Yes they were, there was a store in the Manulife Centre in the mid 80's. There is now a Rexall in that location.

Marks and Spencers- good one!

House of Guitars< Rochester NY.
Used to see their ads all the time on late night tv in Ottawa in the 70's. Had the chance to work the Rochester Boat show for a number of years in the 90's and took a drive to check it out. Amazing place and it is still rocking today.
