They could have shot him once in the leg, since the distance was close. Cops continuously show a lack of common Sense, as well as cowardice.

I find it interesting that many of the arguments here have undertones that ring with anti-Trump sentiments. It sounds like the narrative is not so much about what police are doing, or what protesters are doing, or what looters are doing, etc.
Let's call it for what it is: another excuse to blame Trump and hijacking a cause to suit that narrative.

Sad actually. Because it takes away from the real problems with racism that have plagued the US for decades.

Well, duh! This dude was unfazed after being tazed, most people piss their pants and scream like little girls. Not this guy. Better safe than sorry.
Because a paralysed man recovering from numerous bullet wounds is a huge threat. Maybe they should just shoot him again. 🤬

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Greece

Jacob Blake’s father refused to comment on the violence, saying he will fully address the matter when he speaks at the March on Washington in the nation’s capitol Friday. At a press conference with relatives on Tuesday, his mother, Julia Jackson, called for an end to looting and destruction in the city.

“We need healing,” Ms Jackson said. “I also have been praying, even before this, for the healing of our country.”

His parents are stand up people....Much respect.

Funny that you would say that. I actually know a regular, non criminal guy who in a drug induced haze after a surgery actually managed to cleanly knock out his doctor and hurt a nurse- without ever getting out of bed. So, yeah. Cuffing this guy is a safe way to go. Think insurance, you will probably not ever need it, but....

I'm sure that the cuffs are policy but if you actually think this paralysed guy is a threat...

I think it is to prevent him from hurting himself. Last thing we need is a suicide that is blamed on the police as a murder.

Has anybody mentioned he was reaching for a knife when he was shot?

Still no justification for shooting Blake 7 times:

Salvi said Blake suffered multiple injuries following the shooting, including a gunshot wound to one arm, damage to his kidney, liver and spinal cord.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/25/us/jacob-blake-kenosha-shooting-family-response/index.html
"He had a bullet go through some or all of his spinal cord, at least one bullet," Salvi said. "He has holes in his stomach. He had to have nearly his entire colon and small intestines removed."

Crump said it would take "a miracle" for Blake to ever walk again following the shooting.
In an emotional statement, Blake's father, Jacob Blake Sr., thanked those who were supporting the family.
"They shot my son seven times, seven times. Like he didn't matter. But my son matters," he said. "He's a human being and he matters."
According to Blake's attorney, Blake's sons -- 3, 5 and 8 years old -- watched the scene unfold from the car.
"All my grandson asks repeatedly is 'Why did police shoot my daddy in the back?'" Blake's father said Tuesday.

Why are liberals trying so hard to protect rapists and drug dealers? The 17 year old Kyle kid was protecting innocent people from evil rioters. Why won't liberals listen to facts and statistics? What are they so afraid of? What is their agenda?

Why are you defending rapists and drug dealers who resisted arrests? Are you a cop? Do you know how dangerous their job is? It's easy for you to say, "Oh, I would've restrained those criminals with my Bruce Lee spinning kick." It's easy for you to act all high and mighty in the safety and comfort of your computer desk.

7 shots in the back as the guy was going to his car with his three kids on their way to a birthday party for his 6 year old.
He is now paralyzed and handcuffed to his hospital bed with no charges against him.

You think thats the way the police should work?
