it does not matter if you don't give the job to somebody less qualified it is still discrimination by deliberately favoring one gender over another and again you admitting to discrimination in favour of women. this is what nepotism looks like
Feel free to cry. I choose where to invest my own time and I choose to invest it in mentoring activities that improve diversity.

She's very articulate and passionate, and I give her credit for speaking so directly. I think the weakness in her argument is that she's asking to change the outcome without addressing the root causes.

She was in a family of 7 with a single mother - that's a root cause. The fact that she made it to where she is speaks to the ability for anyone to make it. Her father didn't do her any favors making her grow up in that situation.

I do think people are attracted to people like themselves, that's the crux of her point and it's a strong one. On the other hand, using high level stats of board members or CEOs is misleading, it's a very few who are qualified and a smaller few of African Americans (for example) that are qualified.

So now mentoring and coaching promising female employees is discrimination? LOL.

Yes I will defend what I'm doing, and I'll have HR on my side as well. I think it'd help me get promoted.

This from the guy that admitted he preyed upon barely legal 3rd world women to act as tour guides in nations like the Philippines.

What a Champion of Women you are fuji

I gotta be honest I think your greatest achievement is you have probably 80k plus posts since 2005 and not one of them has actually made another Human laugh

If I posted 80k posts about Accounting I would likely make someone chuckle. You post that many times and not once has your sense of humour ever been exhibited

It's actually astonishing...really what an achievement.

I'm not sure that "lobotomous" is a word but it would describe your personality based on posting history

I'm gonna complete your pedestrian thought process so....

"All sputter....no content"

Don't strain yourself from patting yourself on the back

I think the toughest question you ask daily is

"Can you at least give me a reach around?"

Nope. I think it's productive to talk openly about the problems that cause so many black youth to turn to crime: the poverty, the gangster culture, and the discrimination.

I think talking openly about these things and not being colorblind to who is committing the street crime is color brave, it's the one way we're going to solve the problem.
So we should also talk about the higher ups in the criminal food chain. You should talk about the Russian, Chinese, SriLankan or other criminal organizations as well. Unless your thesis is that all crime is committed by young black men.

You might want to also talk about the issues and motivations of some of the biggest funders of the criminal organizations (aka the upper middle class men who buy sex and drugs).

IMHO you're focusing on the easy part of the issue the part that gets on TV.

But to each his own.

focusing only on women while ignoring equally qualified men is discrimination. somebody will see you in court.

This former Yahoo CEO tried to purge male employees and is being sued. this CEO reminds me of you the type that only panders to female employees

Another belligerent, insulting post that is completely lacking any actual content. You add nothing to this forum with your pathetic, immature personal attacks.

I think there are multiple problems contributing to the reality that black youth commit an outrageously disproportionate share of violent crime, along with native youth.

No one will object to going after the higher ups, but they are not to blame for violence in the black community.

The problem is complex and there is no value in denying key aspects of it, nor is there value in being color blind and pretending it is not a black problem and a native problem.

There's two types of bigotry that I hear in this context. White bigots denying that discrimination isn't the problem and saying it's all about the pernicious pro violent single parent gang and hip hop culture. And black bigots denying there are culture problems and claiming it's all due to poverty and discrimination.

Well it's both and there is no point denying it.

Actually I don't agree. Even those members of the black community who are not engaging in crime appear to support the criminal ethos. In other words, they glamorize the thug lifestyle and that contributes to crime. Therefore the majority really ought to be penalized, until they shape up.
That's not racist that's reality, that's being color brave and facing to truth so that the problems can be resolved. Try actually reading THIS THREAD.

Please make your case against sex with adult women from various backgrounds. This should be good...

What he's referring to is that I use dating sites when I travel. Instead of booking tours I find out what dating site is popular in the country where I'm going and line up dates before I get there. There's usually lots of women interested in meeting guys traveling from Canada or the US. It's a great way to learn the local culture. I also try learning a bit of the local language before I go (even a bit helps). 30 days working through pimsleur lessons gives you a pretty good "tourist level" language ability.

They don't always lead to anything more than a date but they're always more fun than listening to a tour guide.

Why dont you run a Terb poll and see how many people think its racist or not racist.

Or do you want me to do it??
