We should win the series. Could be last night, we were flat from Game #5 of the ALDS. The Royals had a far easier Game #5 against a demoralized Houston that choked it big in Game #4 of that series. And it could be that Volquez just had an extraordinary good night. Happens sometimes with pitchers.

We have more hitting than the Royals and we are not just a "home run or nothing" team. We can manufacture just as well as they can. Out defence is as good as theirs. And our starting pitching beats theirs on paper.

They have more bullpen depth than us, especially with Cecil out.

Home field doesn't mean that much in a small sample of games. Any pitcher can have a great game. Any pitcher can lose his command and implode. Any hitter can step into a 3 run bomb. Or have his timing off and strike out 3 times.

Hey,do MLB conduct random drug testings after the game? Volquez looked like he's on PED out there last night:eyebrows:
Either that or Jays couldn't shake off those 'bush' party from a couple of nights earlier! Just bring it home at 1-1,baby!

But, we don't care about home field.
yes and no..surely it would have been better if the series goes 7 to have that final game here......but a championship team has to be able to win anywhere.....the game is to win twice on the road and 2 out of 3 at home. Do you think that when the Yankees were a dynasty that they worried about home field advantage in the world series..when it alternated between leagues. Did those Mets pitchers that won game 5 in LA pitch any differenty because it wasn't on their home field?

The Rangers got the "jump" on us in all 3 games at the Rogers Centre and in the first 2 we couldn't win. I think maybe the jump is more important..

The two home fields in this series are so vastly different. The Royals were built to win at Kaufman Stadium. The Jays were built to win in most "normal" ballparks (Kaufman Stadium is not normal). Also, the Jays can't bunt so they risk hitting into double plays against.

We can hit line drives and bunt. We're fine.

A team like Houston that swings for the fences and cannot string rallies together dies at the K.

In the last series the TV guys were wondering why the Jays didn't bunt more often because Beltre had a bad back and/or bad leg. Instead, they swung away and hit into 4 double plays against.

Jays depend on slugging and homers, they need to get hits, like Revere. I'm also glad Martin is back in there...

I think the Jays should follow the pattern they followed in the DS. Lose the 1st 3 and then win 4 in a row.

They play better when their backs are against the wall.

Price had better win today. This is his moment. In a pitchers park. He screws up and he may find a lot less money on the table.

Panicking time! Tulo can't hit! That was two games in a row with two on and none out for Tulo to do something. And, he failed both! I missed the offense provided by Reyes:D
However, it's Jays 1-0 top of 3 with none out.

Anyone who attempts to hang this on Gibby when Price was only at 73 pitches doesn't know fuck all about baseball.

This is all on Price.

Hopefully we can get lucky into this bullpen.

Not sure if this is a statement in general or if you're referring to me, but I wrote that post seconds before Price gave up that bloop hit while he was still coasting.

And yes its all on Price. He just doesnt seem to be able to get key outs when he needs them. His value will drop significantly after this outing

all credit to KC. This is how a championship team plays. Maybe we come back to beat them...but we don't look like a championship team...and you can hit singles in any ball park. Also Zaun showed that KC had our signs....why weren't they changed.
