Looks like Hutch picked right up where he left off with this last start.

Oh, and TULO BACK ON SATURDAY!

If you could transplant Strom heart into Hutch's body you'd get a Cy Young level pitcher.

I disagree, IV. Mr Hutchison badly lacks control and command of the strike zone. Many of his pitches are way off the plate. When he does get it over, albeit at 95 mph, it is usually high in the strike zone and in the heart of the plate. He will probably not be on the playoff roster next week. If you transplant Stroman's heart into Hutchison's body, you would still get a pitcher who can't get the ball over the plate, is prone to gopher balls and to lots of bad innings.
I sincerely believe that he will be peddled during the winter while he still has some value.

Here
Why would anyone want to do anything with Stro except to let him be his own man?

He is already showing he has everything it takes to be a Cy Young winner... and I expect that, within 3 or 4 years, he will be in the thick of contention for it.

As for Hutch, he seems to have all of the physical talents, very few of the mental and none of the heart. Too bad... but maybe if he spends some time with a sports shrink over the off season, he can re-invent himself. Otherwise, he will join Romero on a very special list of ballplayers.

Stroman was always told that he was undersized and not good enough. Lucky for him he has an authoritative but supportive father who looked after his confidence. So who ever said father's don't matter is full of kaka, YEAH CACA.

Sorry I'm so happy I let my Sergeant Stedenko out.

Earl Stroman is a NY police detective and he's built like a tank.

Like Russell Martin, Marcus Stroman was groomed by a single father. His mother couldn't take the stress that her husband would be killed in the line of duty, they divorced when Marcus was 5. Who says black men are not fathers to their children?

Looks like we won't have 3 40 HR guys or a 20 game winner, but that's ok when we win the World Series.

The White Sox are no help. Down 0-4 in the 3rd.
Looks like the Blue Jays prefer to have KC win the top seed because of who they plan on playing in the last 5 games.
Mostly tier 2 players.

Can't really blame them because a 2 - 3 -2 is a completely mediocre home field 'advantage'. Nothing to get excited about. I would half prefer to be the team with the 3 in the middle.
Problem is they want a maximum of just 2 travel days in 7 game series.
If it was 2-4-1 with the home field team having the 4 in the middle they would be going nuts trying to secure home field advantage.

Looks like they'll be going with 4 starters and 7 relievers in the first round.
That will mean a 5 man bench.

Bench:
Navarro and Colabello are the only locks for a spot.
Pennington, Kawasaki, Pompey , Carrera, and Matt Hague fighting for 3 spots.
Might be wise to carry both Penny and Kawasaki in case Tulo gets injured.
Between Pompey and Carrera I'd go with Pompey for his baserunning and defense skills.

Bullpen:
Osuna, Sanchez Cecil, Lowe, Hawkins, Hendriks are locks barring injury.
That only leaves one spot open, I'd go with Beurhle for the veteran presence and he can go multiple innings if needed. If a game goes deep into extras I don't want to turn to Loup or Schultz as the last guy in the pen.

Nice analysis.
I'd bet they pick Buehrle over Loup for the last lefty in the pen. Loup has not done much so go with experience.

For the 3 bench guys, I say they pick Penny, Pompey, and Carrera. Cola can play 3B and Josh D can move over to SS in case all hell breaks loose.

For Buehrle start on Fri, I bet they play the A team since he is a contact pitcher and needs good defence to work quickly thru the lineup.
They may sit EE and Martin to give them a bit more rest, but mainly going to be the regulars.

Prob same A team for Estrada's start on Sat.
Then back to B team with Hutch to mop up the season.

Isn't there an unwritten rule in MLB that you are suppose to field your best team for the integrity of the game and to not shortchange your fans with the a B instead of the A product?

Only if you are playing a team that is a factor in the playoffs. Tampa is out so whether or not the Jays win (depending on the AL most wins being settled) probably won't matter.

A win or loss won't affect who actually gets in the post season.

Yes but now KC faces the Twins who are only 1 game out of a wild card spot and should be playing hard to win. Should work in favor of the Jays.
