Is Roberto Osuna actually 20?
Funny thing is I was asking myself the same question last night. This narrative is something you see only in legends and Hollywood movies... more power to him!
At this stage of the season I think El Chico is a lock for rookie of the year... maybe of the decade! :thumb:
I did say several weeks ago that, to me, El Chico seemed to be another Mariano Rivera in the making!
...he can't find decent Mexican food in Toronto. He doesn't like sushi... for a young man raised on ceviche, sushi must be baby food to him. And I've yet to find a good ceviche place in Toronto.
Don't even compare sushi with ceviche. The only thing they have in common is that both begin with impeccably fresh fish.
As for where to find good ceviche in Toronto, the only place I know is my own kitchen... when the mood strikes me and I can find very fresh red snapper or previously unfrozen Chilean bass... though fresh shrimp or scallops are just as good.
I'm not sure having Revere as lead-off is an option. Gibby's game plan makes sense, allow the sluggers to have a good look at the opposing pitcher let the bottom of the order get on base and rough him up the second time around.
I don't think who bats leadoff is quite as important in the American league as it may be in the National.
It is really a factor only in the first at bat of a game... after that, I prefer speed and on base percentages in the 7th, 8th and 9th hitters so that you turn over the lineup and get the power bats to drive them in.
With the BJ's right now, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"... though a famous cybernetician I knew use to say "if it ain't broke, break it; if it's broken, don't fix it, replace it."
And I agree with you about Archer, except that I think he is only #2 to Price.
