It was a hard slide to take Tulo's legs out from under him. Perfectly appropriate if it was a 3-2 game. Definitely a faux pas when the score is 15-1.
Gose has issues of his own with the Jays. Tulo showed his displeasure by giving him the Italian Job, the camera moved away before the gesture was accentuated. Italian Job (crotch grab). I understand Gibby's strategy but Tulo is uncomfortable at lead off. We wont get the full benefit of his hitting prowess until he's protecting EE, not that the parrot keeper presently needs it.

Gibby has already discussed the same point in 1 of his interviews
Yes, the same Gibby who (said in an interview I saw) that Osuna might not make it out of spring training.

Reminds me, even the biggest experts cant predict who in pro sports will succeed.
Osuna looks like a keeper. I hope Jays offer him some kind of long-term contract

The Jays could have 3 30HRs players this season. I remember the great Dodger teams of the 1980's had 3 (Steve Garvey, Ron Cey and Reggie Smith) as well.

They had a season where they had 4 guys do it. In 2000. Jose Cruz jr, Carlos Delgado, Tony Batista, and Brad Fullmer

And for good measure, Raul Mondesi had 24

The Big Red machine in the seventies was a better line up....but we are pretty damn good..........especially if Revere is put lead off and Tulo 5th or 6th

Rose Morgan Perez Foster Griffey Senior Concepcion Bench Geronimo........and Kevin Pillar Senior as fourth ot and pinch hitter

The Jays match up well with the best hitting line-ups: the 27 Yankees, the 75 Reds and the roid addled 89 Athletics.

On a side note: watched the Milan vs Empoli match. The turf looked amazing and played very fast. San Siro used to be a mud bowl after the World Cup 90 renovations, not enough sunlight. Rogers has no excuse in not pushing up the conversion to 2017.

On the sheer numbers, I think that there are any number of teams that hit better than the current BJ's, incl the 80's BJ's, the WS BJ's and the BJ's in the late 90's and early 2000's. The difference is that the current BJ's do it while offence as a whole has dried up around the league and are dominant relative to the other teams they face.

There are probably 10 or so guys this year in the AL who will hit 100 rbi's. That's a far smaller number than usual. 3 of those guys are going to be Blue Jays - EE, JB and JD!

aha ... Funny this conversation is going on. Before I logged on I was wondering about home runs and RBIs, but mostly how many 10 run games the Jays have had.
After seeing what was the flavour of the day I did more research.

The Blue Jays have, to date, had 21 games where they scored 10 or more including one in a loss to KC.
April 5
May 4
June 4
July 3 ... six off days including four during AS break.
August 5 so far with two games to go.

Other stats ... Jays are #1 unless otherwise stated.
Runs scored 709
Hits 1159 . T 6th
D 244
Hr 180
RBI 677
BB 443
Avg .265 . 5th
OBS .335
SLG .450
OPS .785
SF 48 (in which a run is scored)
TB 1965 (Total Bases)
XBH 435 (eXtra Base Hits)

SO 904 26th . (a stat where it is better to be near the bottom. lol)

As for individual stats

Donaldson 35
Bautista 31
Encarnacion 29

RBIs
Donaldson 104
Encarnacion 90
