Get back to us when you allow Jays fans to overreact on the team W-L record? Perhaps, 0-8 on this road trip? Then,we ALLOW to over react by you? LOL.
You don't go into any game situations and expect less than what your team potential can deliver. Negatives thinking I might add.
Unfortunately, I am a die hard Leafs fan so I tend to overreact to any TOR sports teams (other than the Leafs) that are doing well. LOL
BTW, I am not alone on this... so called overreaction..

After reading your response I am pretty sure I now understand.

Nad you almost got it right, it's Ezequiel Carrera. But if his name causes you to pause just call him Zeke. Ya know, just like that old Molson's commercial:

"Every Thursday night Zeke and the boys play a game of pick up hockey. Then get totally shitfaced on Molson's Export and drive home".

This is motivation for Hutch. He's going to resent getting demoted and he'll come back stronger, I'm keeping the faith.

It's a conspiracy. Bettman doesn't want a Canadian team to win the Cy Young.
I'm not sure Bettman even knows there is a Canadian team in MLB. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure Bettman even knows there are Canadaian teams in the NHL.

I don't really think of it as a demotion. With the Jays having some days off, they only need 4 starters. Hutch is now the 5th man in the rotation. If he stays up here, he gets no work. Going down to AAA he will get 1 or 2 starts to help keep him getting regular work.

Totally agree , keep him throwing down there because he'd by the last guy in the bullpen here anyway.

Note also Hutch is pre-arb so he'll be making less than 10% of his Major Leage salary down in AAA, it's a hefty chunk of change for just a couple weeks , around $37,000. His wallet will definitely feel like it's a demotion lol If he acts like a pro about the whole situation and comes back strong he'll get a nice bump in pay this offseason . It'll be his first year of arb eligibility.

TORONTO – Marcus Stroman will throw a 40-pitch simulated game next Monday in Florida, the next major step back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered during a fielding drill in spring training.

It had originally been expected that the Toronto Blue Jays right-hander would make a rehabilitation start on Friday, but general manager Alex Anthopoulos said Tuesday that tentative plans now call for Stroman to pitch at triple-A Buffalo in the first week of September. At that point, a decision will be made as to his availability for the major league club.

Stroman will follow up Monday’s outing with a 55-pitch simulated game on Saturday, Aug. 29. Buffalo’s season ends Sept. 7.

“It’s easier to control the conditions in a sim game,” Anthopoulos said via text message. “With sim games we can roll over an inning, etc. We can control everything.

“Medical staff just felt this is the right way to go. I’ve seen videos of his bullpen sessions, and he looks great.”

I think its a good call for the Jays to fast track him a bit, it was non-arm injury so it should be ok to be aggressive with the rehab.

In other news Saunders's season is officially over, Jays say not enough time let for him to rehab his way back to the big league club.

Sadly Devon Travis has also been slow in recovering from shoulder issues. He can't even swing a bat yet. The Jays offensive woes started around the time he got injured again. The lineup is so much better with him hitting at the bottom.

Travis has missed a helluva lot of games for what's been diagnosed as a bone bruise. I hope this doesn't become a long term issue with him as Goins just isn't cutting it at the plate, we need Travis back in the line up and we're even more potent offensively.

Hutch demoted to AAA , Matt Hague and Ezequiel Carrera up.

11 pitchers and 14 position players on the roster now.
It makes sense with all the off-days coming and some games in the NL parks (no DH).

Hutch will be back when rosters expand September 1, he's been pitching well , I'd imagine he's really pissed off.

When's the last time a 12-2 pitcher got demoted... or ever? LOL
Hopefully they bring Hutch up before Sept 1 so he can be on the playoff roster. He's been a big part of the season so he deserves to be on the team if we win something, ALCS, WS. I suspect they will right after the road trip. His home and away splits are so ridiculous.
Home: 10-1, 2.58 ERA
Away: 2.1, 9.00 ERA

If either Buerhle or Dickey struggle or get injured down the stretch, Hutch becomes a pretty valuable fallback when (not if) they get into the playoffs.

it will really get interesting if they decide to put stroman on the team, because they've already said if he's ready and comes back, it will be as a starter, which means hutch will be the odd man out.

If Stroman comes back as a starter it might be a rotation of

Price,
Buerhle,
Estrada,
Stoman

and everyone else in the bullpen for the playoffs.
A lot may come down to who is hot in August and September for starting positions slots in playoffs and Hutch has a chance if he keeps doing what he's done in his past two starts.
