Injury to his finger during BP. He reported it and they gave him the night. X rays showed no big damage.
I have a hunch that EE will be the centerpiece in a trade for Jeff Semardzija. Tulo will take his place batting clean up.
He's either injured, or being used as trade bait and benched so he cant injure himself.
Lets hope its the latter. A direct trade involving Norris/EE for Price sounds very appetizing, although I'm not sure Tigers would go for that, especially since so many other teams like Dodgers and Yankees want him as well, and probably have more to offer Detroit
I still cant believe Colorado made this trade. If Hoffman and Castro dont pan out we clearly got the better of this trade.
Only way this makes sense if Tulo WANTED to be traded
He wants to win. Colorado is going no where. I'll bet the fact they misspelled his name on the jerseys for his jersey giveaway day didn't help either.
Pretty sure Donaldson came our way like this as well.
Ummmm..before this year hasn't Oakland been in contention most years? Certainly more than the Jays.
Soon they'll be telling us that the Jays will trade Reyes for an all star shortstop from the National League. Ridiculous
why do you think EE would agree to a trade to the White Sox?

Why would the White Sox trade pitching?
They're 1/2 game behind Toronto and 2 1/2 games out of the Wild Card.
And...E.E. gets to decide where/if he goes anywhere.
I'm sure if AA was the only one involved he would get some pitching very quickly but there are other factors. He needs to balance. He did make a major trade that DID improve the team in most people's opinions. That's his job. The game is about scoring more runs than the opponents. I will take a 9-6 win just as well as I will take a 5-2 win.
They did add what seems to be a quality bullpen arm, and their starters have been doing a solid job as of late. They could use their days off to manage their starting rotation so Buehrle and Dickey always pitch on 4 days rest, bump Hutchison and Estrada to keep those two on rotation, and you wouild probably not need very many starts from the 5th guy. Can be done, and if it means you bump the 3 and 4 man back a day I think it helps them both.
