It was a loss after an 11 game win streak. They are going to happen. Look what we did to Boston.
Relax. Remember the Mets are top in their division with a lot of good younger pitching. I certainly didn't go into this series thinking another sweep.

People ripping on Cecil, I just shake my head.
The game was tied up on a 130' double, the Mets couldn't have walked the ball out and set it down any better.
The key now is to not turn around and lose 7 in a row.

So....unless Toronto has been really bad for a stretch in the past 5 seasons, that's it.
Closers are notoriously unpredictable, I don't want to see the Jays trade away any more pitching prospects for someone that may blow up. Syndegaard showed us his stuff, stay the course or venture into Leafs territory.

Last night wasn't Cecil's fault. The defence booted the ball and the Mets got lucky.
Maybe so, but the bottom line is the pen did not get the job done....again. They have rarely been needed during the 11 game run, so they sure weren't over used.
I think Cecil is an adequate reliever but is NOT a closer.
I hope they don't dismantle the farm in order to get a closer but I think they have to find at least one more consistent arm for the bullpen.
The Cardinals are under investigation by the FBI for hacking into the Houston Astros computer system and stealing information on draft prospects and player development. Report is the FBI found evidence of this so they launched a full investigation. What some teams won't do to get ahead.
A shame if true. The Cards have always been the epitome of a class organization. And half the Oagre family lives in St L and watches decent baseball in October!
