Randy Johnson gave up 183 home runs in MLB during the 1990's.
Are you seriously claiming that not one of those pitches were 97 (or faster) mph ?

You do know that it's easier to hit a faster pitch a long way than a slower one?
Speed of a pitch isn't the key factor for a pitcher, but rather, movement on that pitch
You're beyond stupid

Don't look now, but O's have a 5 game win streak and are just 1 game behind us and 3 behind the Yanks. Apart from sad sack Red Sox, the entire division is red hot and tightening up. No longer the mediocre AL East. 4 of the 5 teams are outplaying the rest of the league over the last 10 games.

Ohh and all those TV commentators were saying how the Jays never get any save opportunities....... that was a save for Cecil!

That was special, thought they were done but the boys came through. That has to keep momentum going and the Red Sox have to be hurting mentally after that.

This is like the most unbelievable Jays game I've ever followed in my life.
But this is Fenway Park where they say no lead is safe; so, it's not over till it's over.

Hopefully the bullpen can close out the last 3 innings.
That Drew Hutchison sure gets a lot of runs every time he pitches.

This would probably slot into the Top 10 for sure, Jays had another crazy one right at Fenway in '89,
Toronto came back to win that one 13-11. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BOS/BOS198906040.shtml

Number 1 for me would be this game: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PHI/PHI199310200.shtml

It's Friday night, AK's Mom said he could stay up 'til midnight,
but to be sure to turn all the lights off in the basement when he goes to bed.

Gibbons is a liability....he has no experience getting a team into the playoffs...and no experience in the playoffs........his leadership is lacking and some of his decisions not good.....I was glad to see he was off his ass tonite in the dugout.

We can debate the relative worth of managers (looks like Farrell has worn out in Boston)...but you can't debate that Gibbons is as smart as Showalter or Girardi or has the winning experience. This team is managing itself and that is good.

By the way, I hope I am wrong and Gibbons doesnt screw this up and gets us deep into the playoffs...it is possible.

A liability is a risk and it is a risk to have him as manager.

That's what made Greg Maddox a hall of fame pitcher. Always around the plate but difficult to hit, and he hardly ever walked anybody.

That may have been, but we still need a real closer, and Cecil doesnt fit the bill

Around MLB, Dustin McGowan pitched for the Phils and lost again, this time to a Pirates' pitcher called...... BASTARDO.

Bastardo, huh?.... That's exactly the kind of pitcher who'll come in high and inside and laugh if he hits you!!
