Favourite movie? I can't pick just one... I have so many. Some have been mentioned here... e.g. Shawshank Redemption is right up there near the top of the list, for the reasons stated as well as being well written, perfectly cast and well acted as well.
Forest Gump was also very well acted, and it was interesting to see the character move through different historical events.
Raiders series? Loved it, (except for the second one which was just terrible...)
2012: Yes, I have seen it a couple times. Cool special effects, (I actually travel to Manhattan Beach a couple times a year, which is where the main character lives at the beginning of the film, and its cool to see the scenes where the streets are cracking etc.) But a fantastical story overall.
Grease? Wow... don't get me started! Spanked a few knuckle babies back in my youth thinking about Olivia in those black tights!
Groundhog Day, Now that would be cool! Imagine the possibilities of being able to freak people out with what you know of them! LoL
Saving Private Ryan: Its difficult for most of us alive today, to realize how "real" this movie depicted the war. I remember watching this with my father years ago. He had to stop watching. Hit too close to home. (He lived through the Nazi Occupation in WWII.)
Princess Bride- Awesome film. Love it. (That battle of wits is just classic!)
Armageddon (and its counterpart Deep Impact), again fantastical stories, but fun to watch.
Godfather's I, II and III: Absolutely! Loved them all!
Star Wars: Ya, I'm a fan... Saw every one of them opening day, at the Tivoli Theater in Hamilton... (The original series...)
10 Commandments: Now here is a classic I can get into. Its a family tradition. Watch it every Christmas, as well as Sound Of Music. (And the "remake": "Exodus: Gods and Kings" doesn't hold a candle to the original. I Like Christian Bale, but as Moses he was terrible. He should have stuck with Batman... IMHO).

I am Sam: I loved this movie! Michelle Pfeiffer (hubba hubba), and Sean Penn did such a good job in this film. Why they didn't both win oscars is still a mystery to me! (Oh ya, that was the "black" oscars... now I remember...)
Schindler's List: Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet... awesome film. Moves me to tears every time.
E.T. Oh come on... who amongst us wasn't cheering at the screen during the cycling "case" SCENE?
Gladiator: I get chills every time I even think of the big reveal scene!

My Fair Lady: Audrey Hepburn (hubba hubba!), Classic pygmalion story. Lots of fun.
Braveheart: You can take my life, but you'll never take my freedom!
Dances With Wolves: Teaches a thing or two about bigotry. And the cinematography was awe inspiring.
The Pianist: Another film my parents won't watch. Historically horrific and accurate, and very well acted.
Good Fellas: LOVE THIS FILM! Gangster to the max!
Good Will Hunting: How do you like them apples! LoL

A Clockwork Orange: Ultra Violence with a twist!
