Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, Green Mile, a number of others I can't think of off the top of my head.

IF any of these movies happen to be on and I see it as I flip channels I stop, it would not matter what point in the movie I find myself at, just start watching.

Titanic, never seen it. The though of having to listen to Celine Dion sing makes me want to eat my own liver.

This year, I've seen Whiplash three times.

Insidious Von...............wow that was really funny! Poor Celine Dion, she had great boobs & great nipples, you could have plugged your ears and watched her "wiggle & pose for her drawing in the nude" while the ship was sinking! LOL

Pitch Perfect... I'm a big fan of chicks that can sing.. Also you can tell that Anna Kendrick is a tiny little ball of hot sex.
Tits, big deal. Celine Dion is a screeching separatist harpy and I would rather put my head in a wood chipper.

Anna Kendrick is a tiny/big part of why I consider 50/50 one of the best films of this decade. She's so adorable, she pisses rosewater.

Another absolute hot ball of sex is Megan Hility. i watched her in a revival of Chicago in NYC several years ago. I yanked one in the john during the intermission.

Too bad this is censored:

Favourite movie? I can't pick just one... I have so many. Some have been mentioned here... e.g. Shawshank Redemption is right up there near the top of the list, for the reasons stated as well as being well written, perfectly cast and well acted as well.

Forest Gump was also very well acted, and it was interesting to see the character move through different historical events.

Raiders series? Loved it, (except for the second one which was just terrible...)

2012: Yes, I have seen it a couple times. Cool special effects, (I actually travel to Manhattan Beach a couple times a year, which is where the main character lives at the beginning of the film, and its cool to see the scenes where the streets are cracking etc.) But a fantastical story overall.

Grease? Wow... don't get me started! Spanked a few knuckle babies back in my youth thinking about Olivia in those black tights!

Groundhog Day, Now that would be cool! Imagine the possibilities of being able to freak people out with what you know of them! LoL

Saving Private Ryan: Its difficult for most of us alive today, to realize how "real" this movie depicted the war. I remember watching this with my father years ago. He had to stop watching. Hit too close to home. (He lived through the Nazi Occupation in WWII.)

Princess Bride- Awesome film. Love it. (That battle of wits is just classic!)

Armageddon (and its counterpart Deep Impact), again fantastical stories, but fun to watch.

Godfather's I, II and III: Absolutely! Loved them all!

Star Wars: Ya, I'm a fan... Saw every one of them opening day, at the Tivoli Theater in Hamilton... (The original series...)

10 Commandments: Now here is a classic I can get into. Its a family tradition. Watch it every Christmas, as well as Sound Of Music. (And the "remake": "Exodus: Gods and Kings" doesn't hold a candle to the original. I Like Christian Bale, but as Moses he was terrible. He should have stuck with Batman... IMHO).

Some that haven't been mentioned:

I am Sam: I loved this movie! Michelle Pfeiffer (hubba hubba), and Sean Penn did such a good job in this film. Why they didn't both win oscars is still a mystery to me! (Oh ya, that was the "black" oscars... now I remember...)

Schindler's List: Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet... awesome film. Moves me to tears every time.

E.T. Oh come on... who amongst us wasn't cheering at the screen during the cycling "case" SCENE?

Gladiator: I get chills every time I even think of the big reveal scene! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i0u4jFmE78

Rocky: Who doesn't love a classic underdog movie!

My Fair Lady: Audrey Hepburn (hubba hubba!), Classic pygmalion story. Lots of fun.

Braveheart: You can take my life, but you'll never take my freedom!

Dances With Wolves: Teaches a thing or two about bigotry. And the cinematography was awe inspiring.

The Pianist: Another film my parents won't watch. Historically horrific and accurate, and very well acted.

Good Fellas: LOVE THIS FILM! Gangster to the max!

Good Will Hunting: How do you like them apples! LoL

Pulp Fiction: "I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers."

A Clockwork Orange: Ultra Violence with a twist!

The Usual Suspects: Keyser Soze indeed!

I could go on and on... but I think you get the picture. It depends what kinda mood you're in...

Back in the day it was The Blues Brothers. Pretty much wore out the VHS tape.

These days it's any Bourne movie.

Was caught by my SO watching The Cutting Edge yet again last night. She laughed at me and claimed that it's a Chick Flick but I'll stick by my guns and call it a Sports movie.

Yes, it's hard to pick just one but I'd still have to say The Shining is my favourite. Shawshank Redemption is probably in my top 5.

Also:

The Wizard of Oz
This is Spinal Tap
Titanic
Grease
The Fisher King
Forrest Gump
Casino
Footloose (don't laugh!)
Back to the Future (again, don't laugh!)
A Clockwork Orange
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Psycho
Casablanca

These are the movies I can watch over and over and not get bored.

Also Pink Floyd's The Wall though not sure if it's a typical 'movie'.

I think I've seen The Shining 100 times. Seriously. When I'm in a depressed/sad mood, I put it on and it cheers me up. People think that's weird.
I've seen The Shining about 20 times, still riveting. Not sure about the cheering up part though ;)

A few for me

A Few Good Men - Seen this movie a dozen times or so, just love the storyline. And the acting is brilliant - Cruise's best performance. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!

Se7en - Probably the best ending to a film next to Sixth Sense. I'm not a Brad Pitt fan but he's great here. Morgan Freeman is his usual amazing self.

The Hangover - I really wish I was Bradley Cooper, dude is about as cool as it gets. This has to be the funniest movie made in the past 5+ years.

Bourne Identity/Supremacy - Great storyline and superb acting from Matt Damon.

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle - This shit kills me, I end up crying with laughter every time. Some parts are stupid but others are hilarious. Always feel better after watching this.

Kingpin - My favourite Farrelly Bros. film. Bill Murray as Big Ern is just priceless. Classic. Must have seen this one 25+ times it never gets old.

Midnight Run - Never though DeNiro would be so good in a comedy role. This film is so underrated. Dennis Farina is awesome here as well in a supporting role. RIP.

And lets not forget THE GAME. That movie kept me at the edge of chair the whole time. What a spectacular ending.

I am surprised nobody has mentioned Citizen Kane or The Third Man. Two great Orson Welles movies. Also Alien and Aliens are both classics I can watch numerous times.
