So, I have a new neighbour who just moved in. I can hear the lady screaming at around 3AM yesterday. Maybe she was having an orgasm.

Then twice more f*** yesterday evening. Three hours or so ago, my gf, her parents and friends (including teenage kids) arrived to join me for dinner. While having dinner, I can hear more of the same (and I am sure everyone heard the f*** business going on and pretended nothing has happened).

I wonder why some people cannot keep their business to themselves.

If this carries on, can one report the incident to the authorities. If not, I wonder what is the best course of action.

I agree with mr. Bret. You should just mention it somehow. If you don't feel like telling them in person, let them know in a note or something. She probably has no idea you can hear her. My neighbours probably hate me for that same reason. lol, sometimes it's just so good you can't help it. I mean, it might not stop entirely but they might be more cautious.

It's worth a try and you have nothing to lose.

Knock on the floor, roof or wall (wherever they are in proximity to your apartment) and tell them to please keep it down. Give them a chance to try and keep it down before making a formal complaint.

Anyway, when you say you have a new neighbour I assume you live in an apartment building.
