Comments please ...which hotel to stay at for three nights in Vegas.

Price not a real issue in summer....Venetian slightly higher.

i know Vegas well...and not so interested in location ideas.....ceasers near Bellagip...and Venetian a couple hotels to the north...

more interested in rooms, up to date amenities, pools etc.

what would you recommend?

I've stayed at both although more recently at Venetian.

Venetian is considerably newer so it may sparkle a bit more but Caesar's is old school class. It's aged very nicely.

The standard rooms at Venetian may be bigger. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Maybe slight edge to Venetian.

My issue with both (especially ceasers) is that they are so damn big! It takes forever to get from one place to the next and to get out to the street.

My new favorite stay now for hotels(I also have a timeshare that includes suites at the Jockey Club) is the Golden Nugget downtown. Decent sized without being overwhelming, fantastic pool area(slide through a shark tank, outdoor BJ with pretty girls, and an adults only area. Also cabana available for 100 bucks for the day!). I also love to play on freemont st. Binions for poker and BJ. And a little hole in the wall called the Golden Gate(recently refurbished thank god). The night time dealers double as GO GO dancers and are all hot.

just based on the hotel and what it has to offer I would go with the venetian. newer, and on average nicer.

I would say it depends on your age.
Venetian suits older or romantic crowds better imo, it's very classy. Caesar's has more young people hanging around as there's a food court and a mall and I could be wrong but it's either Caesar's or Mirage (next door to each other) that has a topless adult pool.
Both are center strip and excellent location, very close to each other.

i voted Ceasers because it is a better location (eg. attached to the Ceasers mall) and Venetian is owned by that asshole Sheldon Addelson who spent over $100 million trying to get Romney and other republicans elected so he could own the government for his own greedy purposes. Rooms are crappier at Ceasers but at least i would be giving my money to that asshole Addelson.

If you're going with the guys and looking to be in the mix, Ceasars for sure. Great location and lots going on. It's got a slammin club on site and a decent mall if you want to shop. Ceasars also has go-go dancers and brass poles on its gaming floor.

Do your self a favour and check out Wynn or Encore..Head and shoulders above both. The clubs and pools etc are also great.

Just for fyi as well if you are looking to hobby....I was there for a week in May(with my SO). Did foray out a couple of late nights solo to gamble. It appears they are now hanging out at the Cosmopolitan and Paris a lot.
Check my name and Vegas in the search function. Should be a thread in the Ottawa section about how to get SP's at reasonable pricing and TO service. Worked for another member who tried it too.

I've stayed at most of the major hotels on the strip... If you are only choosing between Venetian and Caesars, then Venetian hands down.

Lately I've been opting for Aria, which is newer and nicer.

The Wynn and Palazzo is also great.
