In the glory days, when Nesta was healthy, Milan were unbeatbale. Now, they better pray for his fitness or else relegation looms. They made three critical mistakes last season:

- Not accepting ManCity's offer for Kaka
- Selling Gourcuff to Bordeaux
- Failing to sign Micele Canini
They made more mistakes then that:

- They signed a young, unproven coach in Leonardo.
- They have an aging team in many positions and arent replacing them quickly enough
- Signed Huntelaar which was a mistake, he needs plenty of service to score which he isnt getting at milan (at least not with this current team)
Mello really shit the bed today! He has been called Brazilian wood by disgruntled Juve fans and was taken to the woodshed by young Javier Pastore
Did you see Marcelo get pwned today by Navas??!!
That was just pure ownage

I might need a footie fix this weekend. Does anyone know a bar or which station is carrying the Russia-Germany game. I am sure I can find an online stream but prefer would to watch on TV at a bar. Thanks for any help.

That game is actually going to be carried by the main CBC network

Scallywags?

They don't like Italians there it must have something to do with the inbred racism of Liverpool fans. I've been to The Main Event; ManU fans are louder but I've never felt under threat.

It's a shame, Scallywags is still the best place to watch rugby. I must find some watering hole where I can watch Italy get it's wooden spoon fix.

This is just a leadup to their WC coverage and is the first time they have this, Setanta is also carrying the Portugal-Hungary match.

Inbred racism of Liverpool fans? huh what are you talking about? I can assure you the vast majority of Reds supporters are not racist, I have seen them come in all shades of the rainbow and religions, unlike the enlightened place that is Italian and Spanish football where monkey noises made and bananas thrown when a black player touches the ball.

I would have to back Scouser on this one. All the Livepool fans I have met at Scallys are okay. Must have ran into some non-regulars there.

That may be but I got a frosty reception on two occasions, also there is no Italian banner on the facade of the establishment. A strange coincidence considering that Scallywags bills itself as this city's top international sports bar.

As for Cannavaro, he's suspended and will not play against Rep.of.I. If he has an allergic reaction to bee stings he may need the cortisone. What's the greater danger, getting caught or possible asphyxiation? Yes, I know, these types of things dont occur in England.

Serbia with a 5-0 thumping of Romania to book their place...beauty.

As for the 2nd place teams...Portugal or Sweden, France, Ireland, Bosnia, Greece or Israel, probably Slovenia, Ukraine or Croatia, and Russia.

Come on Portugal v France!

Portugal v France wont happen, Fifa is dividing the final 8 playoff teams into 2 seeded groups based on ranking.
So my guess is the following:

Group 1: France, Portugal, Sweden, Croatia or Russia
Group 2: Slovenia, Ukraine, Ireland, Bosnia or Israel

I cant see any of those teams beating Portugal (maybe Ireland or Ukraine but doubtful)

France vs Portugal would be like Hitler vs Stalin for me :D

Im hoping at least one of them draws Ukraine and they will play somewhere in the north with about 6 feet of snow hehehe
