When I encounter someone who starts bashing Trump in a conversation, I calmly ask them to talk about 2 or 3 of his policies they didn't like and why?
The conversation usually ends there because they admit something like they just don't like the way he looks and can't really speak to his policies.
Then I'll just laugh and say I'm glad I'm not that bad looking and appreciate their acquaintance.
The left will cry if there is any indication that the legal system will be "weaponized" against these celebrities.
You know...because doing that is not right. Unless of course it's against someone you just don't like and want to prevent them from becoming the next president.
Keep in mind the humanities - where a lot of these types come from - are dying anyway. But they're often the loudest so the media paints rhem as all uni students when they're a minority. Just a loud one.

LaRue let me tell ya- back in Oz there was a sociology prof who was an ardent Marxist. All the students knew their final essay had to sing the praises of Marxism to get a distinction or high distinction in the course. However, I was not aware of any students who were persuaded to be marxists, in fact the opposite happened because they all knew she was a joke, a clown. They would mock her mercilessly outside of class. I really didn't see any brainwashing. I think lot more students recognize when they got some radical hippie type these days and tune them out, and will in fact complain about them.
When I get on campus these days I see the majority engineers and computer scientists and biologists etc and they grind away and don't seem to wear their politics anywhere. And the humanities majors are dropping like rocks. Students just don't want to take those courses.
Not to saying doesn't happen. There are for sure those types who expect the world to revolve around their feelings. Who believe shouting people down is free speech. But I think the loud minority being characterised as "all students" goes too far. (By mainstream media, not necessarily you).

The numbers are declining because having a humanities degree is becoming worthless. These graduates have much less to offer in the workforce than those with STEM degrees.
