Again, I was agreeing on the problem of some ridiculous students, particularly from the left, from the get go but that was not for some reason recognized in this discussion. My disagreement was about the amount of those students, and i felt the over-coverage creates the impression they represent the vast majority of students, when in fact i believe they don't.
Example Buffalo had appx 100 student protesters on the gaza situation. The university has 30,000 students. There were about 15 arrests, of which about half were not uni students.
Quick maths suggests less than 4% at the protest.
And I don't think all students were empty vessels.
I take it you went to uni? Were you an empty vessel? Did you blindly obey and accept every fact and never deviate? I reckon you didn't. I didn't. The Aussie kids didn't.
Same with kids today. Sure, there will be some. Btw, some right wingers too. But not the majority of students.
