She bothers me because she's divisive. Mature people can agree to disagree when it come to politics. No need to make it worst than it is. She should be pushing ideas to work it out, families are already struggling. And no I have no problems when liberals come to my house or discussing politics.
I understand what you’re saying. That’s how I try to approach things with people in my life. But if, for example, I was trans or a Haitian immigrant or part of some other group that MAGA targets and attacks it would be tough to sit across the table from someone whom I know thinks I’m a freak or a groomer or some sort of threat to society that needs to be eradicated. I’m just not sure how I would just sit there and pretend not to know what I know?

Hmmmm... new member PeterParker1000? 🤔 All posts about politics on a sex forum?

I wonder what basement-dwelling toad handle you used to go by here on TERB before you were either banned or humiliated by your own words so disappeared and re-christened yourself?

What handle did all these cowardly toads like Darts and nottyboi et al reincarnate themselves as?

Any guesses?
Shong, you’re in the minority. America voted they want Trump to enact his policies. One of the major ones is getting rid of all the illegals. Don’t blame me and engage in personal attacks. This is what the people want.

Yes but that's a little different, lots of families that are not maga hate Gays or Trans without any politics anyways. But if someone hated me then I would avoid that too. Don't think its only from the right, some lefties too will hate your guts if you voted for trump.

for me it’s not politics it’s morals and intelligence. If you deny that Trump is a criminal I question your intelligence. If you feel it’s okay for the country to be led by a criminal I question your morals.
I definitely don’t want friends who are not intelligent. And I am careful with friends who are immoral
I do feel ok to have America led by Trump. My morals are not in question. This is bigger than all of us. More than half of Americans who voted don’t want the current policies.

First off... do you realize you are just running a mindless prejudiced script?

Secondly... you ignored the subject of my post Mr Pecker.

Thirdly, you type/yap more than you read/listen.

I respect democracy and accept Trump's election as the legitimate will of the people of the United States... and have said so repeatedly.

Jezzus H. Kryste!

Looks like Trump is going to win.

The USA is the most successful country in the world by many measures and despite Trump being a moron and having below average intelligence voters. you have to respect democracy.

Having said that... this is a pretty good video. A bit of a harsh title, but very wise.

The American people have spoken. Gotta respect democracy.

Will be interesting times ahead.

Personal attacks because I said liberals are going insane? We have people who end life long relationships because of Trump. You didn’t listen to my post. Instead you attacked me for saying what I did about liberals being crazy. The definition of crazy or insane is someone who acts wildly irrational or out of the ordinary. That’s what’s happening to some people based on the topic of this post.

I saw what was happening in America. Nobody liked any of these policies but they were afraid to speak up. The next couple months you’re going to see a lot of people come out of their shells in support of Trump, and calling out these far left liberals for hijacking the Democratic Party.

I much prefer a stable world than personal vendettas. Nuclear war, inflation, is a bigger threat than disliking someone. If you want to use Clinton, I would read up on that Epstein list. You may have TDS if you can look past others faults but not Trumps.
Trump and stable don't fit in the same sentence.

Its what I thought.
The last thing you'd want during holidays is to put up with an annoying family member who starts ranting offensive politics. lol.

Some family's love debating politics over dinner, although I suspect they all tend to lean one way or another and maybe one or two take on the devils advocate roll
I am pretty sure the Kennedy family did that
I believe they prided themselves on being up-to-date, well informed and a certain willingness to hear opposing views at the dinner table
of course different world, different time and the political spectrum was no where near as wide, extreme or nasty as today
and the Kennedy family was a political family

I recall Ann coulter stated that she grew up with politics central to family dinners
i suspect these discussions were more one sided

family member have differing political views could happen

in such a divided political environment its not a terrible idea to just agree to keep politics and the nasty arguments out of bounds during the nice family dinner and discuss something else / anything else out of respect for mom/ dad/ granny/ grandpa /brother / sister /the kids.

if you cant manage that , you have an obsession issue and there is no reason to attend diner with a family you don't respect

that said, i can envision a scenario all going well then someone might open a bottle, the drinks start flowing and then all hell breaks lose

Yale University chief psychiatry resident Dr. Amanda Calhoun comments are ridiculous, because they are so partisan and so specific for 'liberals'
she does not consider the possibility an overbearing loonie lefty at a family dinner could be just as upsetting for others at the table
she likely needs time lying down on the cuckoo couch

Trump is the only change president in my lifetime. As such, he'll be the one talked about 100 years from now while the others will be all but forgotten.

I can't wait to hear more about the plans for higher education. Its institutions are currently filled with very stupid activists pretending to be professors.

Why does this bother you? If you have liberal family members that disagree with your views to the point that they are profoundly offended then better if they stay away from you, no?

Why would you want a bunch of liberals coming to your home and spoiling Thanksgiving anyway?
Because that's not how grown ups act. You suck it up and move on...

One of my SBs ( full disclosure - she identifies as Marxist) said that American Dems are not socialist enough and that they are basically just gay republicans. I don’t know what to make of that except that I find it funny.

The tolerant left - in blue states, Republican supporters cannot even display anything MAGA related or else they risk vandalism, etc.

Ditto for flying an Israel flag here.

That alone tells you who the intolerant ones are. You would never seen cons/Republicans lose it like that.
Sure you would. Just drive around Mississipi with a Harris sticker and see what happens when you park your car outside the Piggly-Wiggly Store.

most of the young ones are poisoned by the leftist propaganda. I’ve recently parted ways with one over her pro Palestine stupidity but since then I came to realize ima lose all of them if I were to take it too close to heart.
But yeah their stubborn compassion for underdogs would drive Darwin crazy

It’s weird that a self-proclaimed Marxist would use the word “gay” as a derogatory term. She seems kinda confused about her identity…maybe that’s what makes it funny?
