That is a very early prediction. I would not count them out yet. The Australiens were very successful in destroying their game, though.

Now we will see if Iceland can beat Messi & Co.

danmand, good luck against Peru, it wont be easy.

That's the problem with Messi, it's Messi & Co. Unlike CR7 who's adapted to make his team mates better, his record proves that he's the planet's best player.

Thanks. Denmark pretty much needs to win in order to go forward.

The problem always is that Denmark is inconsistent in big tournament. They may win over France and lose to Australia. It is maddening to watch them.

PS: The commentator of the games is horrendous. An old British fart.

Comparing #7 yesterday to #10 today it's no contest.

#7 would never miss that penalty. He put his penalty where he could miss, but it could not be reached. #10 put it where he could not miss, but it could be reached.

Iceland was surprising on defense. Argentina was not very effective offensively. Though they made Iceland's goalie work, it was mostly weak shots. Though he did make a couple of really good saves, too.

Argentina looks vulnerable. No match either for Portugal or Spain. But it is only the first game!

I'm still pissing against the wind but so be it. It's bizarre that Italy isn't in Russia.

After he defeated The Golden Horde, Czar Ivan III transformed Moscow from a city of wood to a city of stone and marble. He brought in Italian architects and stonemasons to do the job. They also built his palace, now better known as The Kremlin.

...not to be confused with Ivan IV, better known as The Terrible.

I thought Argentina looked OK, much better than France, who was unable to get any program going against the weak Australian side. The Icelandic goaltender plays in Randers in Denmark. He played well.

Denmark did well to win over Peru.

Hey, paisan. Really, get over it or you are going to miss out on what is looking like a great tournament with 4 or 5 very good teams and great technology and video.

I think this is the 15th Cup I have followed... we have come so tremendously far in broadcasting these games... I find it a thrill to watch!

I remember going to the CNE Colosseum (now the Ricoh Centre) to watch the Italy - West Germany match in 1978. Emilio Maschia successfully lobbied the CBC to carry the 1982 WC. It turned into a motherlode for the National Broadcaster, they carried the 1986 WC before the specialty channels took it over.

Peru couldn't finish, Denmark got lucky. Didn't know former Roma man Simon Kjaer is the captain of the club.

I find, though, that the play by play commentary has failed to improve.

Denmark should be very happy with the result. Schmeichel saved the day for Denmark. If they can find a way of winning the next game against Australia, they will get a spot in the knock out part.

Those were some nice games today, of course I was cheering for Denmark as I wanted Danmand to be happy, and it was a nice game. The Peruvians kept coming like crazy non stop but kept missing...wow. (chewing coca leafs?)

Argentina dominated but Iceland is good too, amazing and poor Messi couldn't get that penalty in.

Croatia has a good team with some stars in there. (they're always competitive) Nigeria over the years had some strong teams (like Camerun) but weren't bad today.

Keep in mind the idiots that planned the games will have two games at the same time starting the June 25 example: Uruguay-Russia 10am and Saudi Arabia-Egypt also 10am in the afternoon at 2 PM Spain-Morocco and Iran-Portugal.

Well, they are clearly smarter than you. The last 2 matches of each group are played at the same time. If they were at different times and the penultimate match of a group determined who is advancing or not, the last match of that group would be boring and pointless.

I hope Egypt scores five goals against Saudi Barbarica as well, fucking terrorists bastards.

It was heartwarming to see Marko Pjaca (pronounced Piazza) come into the game for Croatia. He's had a rough time of it the last three years. He was supposed to be the next Pavel Nedved for Juventus. He picked up a serious knee injury and missed the 2015 CL Final, he then missed the entire 2015-16 season. Juve bought Paolo Dybala and loaned him out to Schalke. They should bring him back, he's only 23.

Iran isn't building nukes, they just have the infrastructure to build one - don't believe American propaganda. The warhead count: Iran 0: North Korea 68.

Didn't watch the Serbia game, I'm looking forward to see what Brazil has.
