The handball was 50/50. According to the rules if the ball touches the attacking player first and the handball is not judged to be intentional then it's a goal kick. Did the ball touch Matuidi?

What a game, Croatia played like champs and won just about every mid field battle, the own goal and pk definitely hurt them but they had no answer to Pogba and Mbappe's goals.

Didier Deschamps is a born leader.

Captained Juve to their last Champions Cup in 1996, captained France to a World Cup in 98, then again to a European Cup in 2000. And now he's a World Cup winner as a coach. Couldn't happen to a more hard working and humble guy.

The TSN panel all agreed that it should not have been a penalty as they were making a case that the Replay just does not fit into the Soccer Games.
I must agree to disagree with them, as we saw time again in previous world cups that some teams were robbed as some goals should not have been awarded and in other scenarios blatant penalties were missed.
To me this was a handball. If you follow the replay closely, the arm was raised and then moved in the direction to make deliberate contact with the ball.
I wanted Croatia to win as they deserved to be in the finals. However France were the better team and rightfully claimed the World Cup

The Azzurri did not qualify but I'm encouraged by the impact Serie A players made in this WC.

I expect all four Serie A clubs in the Champions League (Juve, Roma, Napoli and Inter) to go deep. Inter will have the toughest time, they finished fourth and must go through the qualifying round to make the draw. That will be difficult with Peresic and Brozovic still in recovery.

Ditto, I don't know whether it was deliberate but there was clear hand contact that changed the path of the ball.
Croatia played like true champs and warriors, no diving and rolling and faking injuries, too bad they were not as clinical in their finishing as the French.

Wish VAR was around when Maradona used his hand to score and rob England in 1986.
