Why Do You Hobby?

I've had a steady girlfriend for over a year now and it's an open relationship...She knows i see SP's and dislikes it to some degree ( yeah right ..some... hates it !!! ) but I tell her the truth when she asks, now she doesn't ask anymore.
I hobby for variety and so I don't lose my girl. If I run around with other girls( non Sp's) they will and I too... become attached to some degree. I know that Sp's are doing this for money. They need it for unknown reasons maybe they don't have a proper education or they have a criminal record or just need big cash fast for their kids..who knows why.. Sooo I'm helping them out. I'm in and out with no questions just a hand shake and a smile...sorta speak...
I also do this hobby to learn and try out different technique's, style, positions, fantasy's. Sex can get boring with the same person day in and day out.
I know who I love and go home to her every night.
Plus I horny all the freak'n time !

I see you are getting a wide variety of answers. I really didn't start "hobbying until 2003 and have enjoyed the last five years more than the preceding 40+ and those years were pretty incredible.
I've met some women who will be my friends for an eternity. Women who have shared their love of life, of music, of sex. Women who taught me quite a lot about myself and the fact that life is a game, a great game but not to take it too serious. Things that use to piss me off to the extreme, tend to run off my back a little easier this days.
I started by going to strip clubs back in the eighties, graduated to massage parlours around 2002 and had my first encounter with an SP in 2004. This board has been my friend and saved me alot of frustration in dealing with B/S artists and women who are only out there to rip guys off.
As I have stated on other threads, you can view a website of some of the hottest looking ladies at 12noon and be taking in their nakedness by 2:00 or 3:00pm.
I enjoy the social part of it almost as much as the intimacy. Foreplay is where it's at for me. I love the smell, the taste, the light touch of an encounter. I especially love it when the woman seems to enjoy me as much as I do her.

As for the question at hand, I think we all have
out reasons for hobbying. I had a buddy that
served our country and came bacl from a tour
with injuries that put him into a wheelchair. Who
is anyone to deny him the right to call a girl or two
from time to time. Then you have the older guys
with families that have been in disfunctinoal
marriages for years. Or perhaps the younger guys
like me with a little extra income to spend on
tail rather then getting Leaf tickets, or for the
artsy type, balcony seats at the ballet. It really
boils down to an infinite amount of reasons
catered to each and every one of us, which in
turn means absolutely nothing, because it is
all subjective. It is none of my business, and
certainly none of the publics business. Does that
mean the question cannot be asked? Of course not.
But I think the reason these type of questions
are always brought up is because there is no
real answer and something that wil always be
asked because of guilt or reservations they have
on the industry. Justifying it doesn't make it right,
but certainly more bareable.
Now onto another dating an sp, stripper, mpa
thread, or query on who is the most hyped pussy
that week. I know I need some TDL additions.
(sigh) Cheap incalls were so much more simpler.
I wouldn't hobby if I had a GF. And it's been years since my last GF.
That being said, i'm not a talkative person so it's tuff for me to meet new people. When i'm out, i'm always out with the boys...most times if they chat up any girls I never get in on the 'pick up.' In my mind, I end up thinking that the girl will choose with the better looking guy or the guy that is more successful in life....so why would I even try to compete? Also, I wouldn't want to compete with a friend..why make it more difficult for him to 'close the deal.'
The only thing I got going for me is I guess i'm a 'nice' guy. But being a nice guy dosn't get you much these days.... That being said, the only 'release' I get with the opposite sex is through the hobby.

I've only seen a couple of SPs, but still looking to indulge in the short- to mid-term, but am in sort of the same boat as kbox. Not talkative but not entirely shy, and astronomically jaded against Toronto "civilian" women. So, for a variety of reasons, all my time in Toronto has never really been conducive to meeting women which has resulted in some inhuman sex- and social- dry spells. The option is to go batshit insane or find a release.
Because I can. I like the variety and the convenience this hobby offers. Someone else mentioned how much better they are with 'civilian' women because of this hobby. I would agree. I've been known to 'empty the gun' before a hot date - keeps my mind focused on her and not getting in her pants. I've also made some good friends out of this hobby.

I think female SOs (GFs, wives) in general help create the demand for sex outside of the relationship. Men in general can kiss BBBJ good bye after wedding night or not long after and have to endure reduced level or no sex at all as time goes by. If the female SOs were to treat their men the way SPs treat their customers all the time, the hobbying industry will be a much smaller industry as we see it to-day.

i hobby because i am the good person. if i don't hobby how can those young gals go to school? how can these gals buy the nice shoes and nice bag to wear when they go to the club? how can the pretty gals not go to the salon, not go to the fake tan, not go to my aunties nail place, and still stay hot for me when we have the sex?
