I would never vote Harper. I'd probably never vote conservative unless a true progressive with fiscal responsibility became leader but they don't call it the progressive conservatives anymore so that's not gonna happen.
I'll vote NDP or liberal depending on who had best chance of unseating conservative in my riding.
We truly need proportional representation. The fact that a party can get a majority govt when 60% of population vote against them is ludicrous. We don't currently live in a democracy.
If you are true to your conservative values comment, your vote should be going to Elizabeth May.

Yes for the same reason I hope that sex workers publish the list of conservative MPs who voted for this bill and are clients.
That would be a short list
News flash for you: The vast majority of the population does not indulge in pay for play

The ones who voted for this bill or they party which supports it should be the ones to be charged and shamed first, so they assume the consequences of their vote.
Do not hold your breath waiting for a conservative MP (Or any MP for that matter) to be charged.

I don't like hypocrisy.
Most people do not like hypocrisy.
But your going to base your vote on a hypothetical & slim probability that any one of these MPs indulges in pay for play.
Making him a hypocrite.

News flash for you: ALL politicians are hypocrites for a multitude of other reasons

Lots of other real important issues at stake here

Not a majority of population pay for it, but some research revealed that 20% of men have paid for it at least once in their life. Not a majority but a large minority. And also the vast majority of population don't indulge in same sex activities, should we prosecute gay people then ?
That is flawed premise to imply they must be hypocrites because you assume they fall into that 20% of the population

WRT the Gay population
Again a very flawed argument
The objective is to be able to prosecute pimps, human trafficking and those that prey on the underage.
No comparable objective wrt the gay population

Actually this already happened, a conservative MP from Alberta has been charged in Minnesota for soliciting an undercover cop in a motel sting.
O Boy
#1. He was a MLA , a member of the provincial legislature, not a member of parliament.
Do you know the difference?
# 2 That was 2013 , Bill C-36 was enacted in 2014
Guilty before it was a law?

I hope you do not let this type of logic drive your important decisions

This is not a slim probability, 20% of male population already pay for it and MPs are more likely than average population to pay for it because they spend half of the year in Ottawa away from their families and also make more money than average population. So definitely more than 20% of conservative MPs pay for sex, but those ones want to make other criminal for indulging in the same behaviour.
That is a total pile of bullshit
You can not irrefutable conclude they pay for pay.
#1. The logic of Statistical analysis does not support the 100% confidence level you claim
#2. It is impossible to predict human behaviour with the 100% confidence level you claim

You can infer the probability of any male MP indulging is 1 in 5 , however that includes all male MPs, not just conservatives

However as your predetermined bias prevents you from making a rational argument, It will likely prevent you from making a rational decision come voting day.
which is such a shame as:
a) there are so many other important issues to consider
b) there are lots of people in this world who do not have the right to vote

Harper increases lead.

having checked back in...and continuing to monitor the anti Haper rhetoric dominating the comments over 4 pages of threads, Harper has quietly increased his lead in this non scientific poll. I say it is 'non scientific, but the poll is astonishing considering the TERB leftist crowd, and more generally Toronto being historically red. Very interesting.
I don't think terb is close to being left wing. also most people avoid the political forums because of the high wacko content. if this poll was in the lounge or the incall section the results would be more reflective of the cdn population

The same logic of prosecuting adults purchasing sex from another consenting adult for the purpose of fighting the ones who prey on underage.
Again, you do not understand logic
You draw the conclusion & then seek events to support your pre-determined view.
You are incapable of looking at an issue objectively

This thread ..like the electorate does not care nor is paying attention.

Interesting to see Harper still leading in this Toronto area poll.

It is Thomas Mulcair's election to lose. The Conservatives popularity is plunging and they could finish third. Great to see Harper getting upset with the media over their questions regarding His own confidantes. It cannot get any better for Harper.

If you think the Tories are going to finish third you really need to give your head a shake.

There is no way people are going to take Junior that seriously.

There is still a lot more to come out of this Duffy affair. Also, look at the impression that Harper portrays South of the border. This is interesting:

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/16/o...ng-of-the-canadian-mind.html?mwrsm=Email&_r=0

Then you can answer that question posed at the very end.
That is the impression of one columnist south of the border. Most probably aren't even following the election.

Ask yourself this. Who would you rather see meeting the POTUS or the G8 to stand for Canada, the PM or Junior?

How could any hobbyist on this site even consider voting Conservative. They have taken away my rights in C36 and C51. I'm not going to vote for a government that calls me a pervert and would label me a terrorist. No way in Hell would I vote for them. No way. Not ever, never, ever, never, never!

As many have said before. We actually care more about the economy, international policy, taxation, what social programs should be implemented, national security etc etc than what has amounted to a bit of inconvenience at best to getting our dicks wet on the side.

But hey if you want to continue thinking with the little head feel free and leave the adult conversations to the adults.
