I'm not even a hockey fan. I'm looking at this across sports.

What I'm trying to say is the responsible party Heatley, is the drunk driver is always the one to survive the crash, the roles should be reversed but never are.lawyerman said:Yes he it seems to many people that he is ungrateful and I think that he should go to jail for what he did but to say that he should be in the pine box is classless.
If the Snyder family forgave him, then so be it. They are a strong family and they probably felt close to him and forgave him. I truly believe that you don't have to forgive anyone myself.
Yep, he doesn't like the coach. Had his minutes cut and was put on 2nd team PP. Instead of getting his production up to where it belongs he blames the coach. Even though the team played better, he sulked and became bitter because he's a real team player.lawyerman said:Has Heatley stated why he wants out of Ottawa? Just curious.
Word is Spezza was/is also in the mix. The young and the rich.slurp said:Yep, he doesn't like the coach. Had his minutes cut and was put on 2nd team PP. A thought crossed my mind with the revelation of McGratton being an addict. We all know Emery and Redden were also stuffing their noses regularly, these things are usually more pervasive than just a few guys. Wonder if Danny boy is part of party central in Otown too?
and all along I thought his only problem was an extremely low IQbangminton said:Word is Spezza was/is also in the mix. The young and the rich.
Hmmm....Dany & the Mighty Senators will ended up being Hitlered as it seems. LMAO!!!Malibook said:Dany Heatley -- Hitler reacts to news that he has turned down a trade.

agreed. why would you want a player who doesn't respect your city enough to come right away??? what oilers' fans are going to embrace heatley if he comes now???lawyerman said:Heatley refused to go to Edmonton just a few weeks ago and now this. Pretty desperate is right.
I really don't think so... considering they are NOT on speaking terms and Heatley turned down an invite to Spezza's wedding.bangminton said:Word is Spezza was/is also in the mix. The young and the rich.

I really liked this guy as a player and it all came crashing down around him after Dan Snyder's death.
Heatley is such an ungrateful asshole. He was given another chance to make a ton of money for a game that he loves and he wants things done on his terms. I think that no-trade, no movement clauses are just plain dumb. The team is at the mercy of the player. Such bullshit.
He should be behind bars.
yeah very happy about getting ehrhoff.... i think he's great.... canucks also signed matthieu schneider this week so, including lukowich, that's 3 new nhl calibre d-men on the team. they are now just over the cap so look for the canucks to move kevin bieksa for some good prospects.21pro said:Eklund and TSN say NYR's are the likeliest spot for Heatley to land, but after todays moves of Ehrhoff and Lukowich out of San Jose, I'm beginning to wonder....
some good pickups for Vancouver no doubt...
if it's a forward it's likely jannick hansen. he's likely not going to make the canucks this year with the emergence of michael grabner and cody hodgson.21pro said:Brian Burke said today he is working on a deal with Vancouver... doubt it's Bieksa- Toronto has a bunch of nhl d-men right now... probably a young forward.
Maybe they can bring back Wellwood and name him captain.21pro said:Brian Burke said today he is working on a deal with Vancouver... doubt it's Bieksa- Toronto has a bunch of nhl d-men right now... probably a young forward.

likely draft picks or prospects. canucks have salary cap issues and are trying to move some bodies right now.notenufmuff said:As far as the Canucks go, who would they want from the current Leaf roster?
I really don't think Heatley has what it takes to be a Burke man. I don't think he'll be in TML uni anytime soon.notenufmuff said:Heatley would be unwanted baggage for TML.
