I'm not saying that what the guy did was right, but just curious, do you remember if you needed to raise your voice while on that call? Maybe bad reception or something?
Being in front and having someone behind not liking your speed reminds me of the bumper sticker

You know we all do dumb things sometimes and getting flipped the bird or told off I can handle, because I can admit when I am in the wrong. If he asked me to get off the phone and I told him to "fuck off" then MAYBE I would expect his reaction. Again I state he was down my thoat before the clerk was even done ringing me through. If he was in such a hurry he would not have waited outside for me to intimidate me further.
Let's move on to happier topics!

I agree with the bit about karma, that's just wishful thinking. Justice can happen, but it isn't consistant and you often have to be quick with the response.

Where was the fucking security guard? (I hate being ogled by security guards at Staples or even SDG as if I was a member of Al-Quaeda. If it was the big Italian security guard at my local Metro store (he's ok), HE would've helped Molly).

Wow!! He probably seen what you were buying and the visual of you and your supplies and the fact that the jerk never gets any it all came together and short circuited his brain. Call the cops have 911 on speed dial, not only would you be protecting yourself but someother girls that will eventually have to deal with this asshole. I cannot believe the employees are not trained to deal with these types of behavior. Tell the manager and the regional manager of what happened and that you felt very unsafe in there store and will not return. That might effect some change.
