I'm really happy that I'm not young today. I would hate if I had to treat the Cancel Culture demographic like peers, and I won't be around anymore when they inherit power. It's not as if any of them are going to earn it through talent or charisma.

Population of Canada would be declining if not for immigration. And these immigrants are top notch professionals making a significant contribution to our society. For example, most of the professors and graduate students in engineering and science faculties in universities across Canada are immigrants. Most of the doctors in the GTA are first generation or recent immigrants. There will be no software industry in Canada (or the US) without immigrants. So stand up and applaud immigrants
They can be and some of them are. Either in a negative way or because they fetishize white people. But what impact does their racism have as opposed to racism from white people? Perhaps if a significant minority were to live in countries where POC were the majority population, you'd have a valid argument. Not so in Canada or the US, where the majority white population dominates everything. So the racism from POCs doesn't matter. White racism on the other hand does because it has a significant impact on people and lives.
I think you characterizing Mandy's comment to mean that immigrants succeed just because they are immigrants is disingenuous.
Yes culture matters. Nothing new here. Usually model minority immigrants - say Indian-Americans for example, come from cultures were the family structure is very strong. It is infact the case with Indians and Chinese where parents micro manage their child's performance in school etc., So they are more successful and they are model minorities.
But that is typically the case with people who immigrate. To immigrate to Canada they need certain educational qualifications, language skills in French or English, work experience and they need to be under 40. So essentially you are bringing in young, educated people who are likely to get jobs and succeed and stay here for the long term. That is why they become model minorities.

I grew up when Betty Crocker was a famous cook that make cakes and Aunt Jemima was a famous cook that made amazing pancakes and maple syrup. My understanding now is that Aunt Jemima was removed because it was racist but I guess in my own ignorance - I can't figure out why. Was it because she was a black cook ? Was it because she wasn't a skinny white woman like Betty Crocker ?

Except for refugees, Canada admit immigrants based on a merit system. You might want to check on the validity of your claims. Aunt Jemima was a corporate mascot modelled after the plantation house slave archetype as seen on a vaudeville poster. Never was a real person. Neither was Betty Crocker.
