Russia gives up taking all of Urkaine. That presents a risk to it. That is all. It has the capabiliy to take all of Urkaine, Its winning, Ukraine is close to collapse. Trump has a choice here, he can let the war in Ukraine define his presidency or take the political hit and move on with the rest of his program.
You've been saying that for 2 years now, haven't you?

Its a big country, do you think Trump called Putin 'cos he thinks NATO can win? He sees Afghanistan 2.0. When Trump came to power he asked the military what they needed to win in AFghanistan. He gave them everything they asked for. They failed. Now they are against Russia, he knows they can't win. Did the west say Putin has already lost, that his govt will collapse, that the Russian economy will fail, that Russia is isolated. Afganistan took 20 years to defeat NATO, Putin is only in year 3 and even the NATO sec Gen admits they are out producing nato by 400%. How is NATO gonna win? Actually I have been saying it for MORE then 2 years. And quite early I predicted a titanic battle in the Donbas that would decide this war. Its happening now, and I doubt anyone would question how its going.

Your hatred for Zelensky and Ukraine comes through in every post.
Whats not to hate about a leader who ran on peace with Russia and ending the civil war, that has now got over 1m soldiers killed, millions more maimed and taken his nation to where its nationhood is at risk? Who fights on with 0% chance of success?

I thought the lesson was supposed to be that no empire can invade and hold a country. Not the US/Russia in Afghanistan, not the US in Iraq, not Israel in Palestine.
Even were Ukraine to fall do you think he could hold it?

The US provided half of support for Ukraine, but they've still got EU money and now Putin has been relying on Iran, China and North Korea to keep his war going.

If the Trump decides to withdraw military aid to Ukraine it doesn't follow
that Europe will no longer be sheltered in the U.S. "nuclear umbrella" from
nuclear attacks from Russia.
Nothing is off the table with Felon Trump AKA Putin's boy in charge. This administration is capable of anything.

You must be Russian! The nonsense that comes out of your posts in regards to Russia can only be thought and said by a person from their motherland.

The war is slowly slipping away from the Ukraine. These things can grind on for awhile. Then all of a sudden the line can break and it's gone in a moment.

Sometimes realists don't want to be realists, but we just see the world through that lens.

I wish I could see how this was about Trump, but I really can't.

This is about Trumputin turning his back on Ukraine and attempting to hand it to Putin on a silver platter.

Would you trust Putin Wyatt?

If you think the Ukraine can resist Russia, you might be correct.

After watching this war for three years, I do not want to expand NATO. That's just my opinion as an American. Practically speaking, NATO would not defend the Ukraine. The U.S. would be defending the Ukraine.

Nato cannot defend Ukraine as they are not part of the alliance. It has always been in the US's interest to stand up for Democracies but now Trumputin wants to be King, it makes sense to support Russia, China, and N. Korea.

How can Europe make a guarantee when the US/trump and Russia/Rasputin are the enemy.

When George Bush decided to invade Iraq Jean Chretien and
Jacques Chirac among other U.S. allies declined (thankfully) to
join American invaders' coalition of the willing. Did that make
Canada and France enemies of the U.S.?
I should have clarified....enemies of Ukraine. As well, most of Europe has looked at Russia as a threat to their safety for decades. So it is not a huge leap for them to look at the US, as they seemingly are helping Russia to get stronger, as an extension of that threat. And that threat to Canada from Iraq is miniscule compared to the current situation in Europe. So it is not a valid comparison.

If the Trump decides to withdraw military aid to Ukraine it doesn't follow
that Europe will no longer be sheltered in the U.S. "nuclear umbrella" from
nuclear attacks from Russia.
That is nothing more than an assumption, especially with an unstable, unpredictable and untrustworthy man like trump. Maybe he'll want more of Europe than just Greenland. If he wants that maybe he wants to build a trump resort right in Tivoli Gardens. I hear that it's a great opportunity.

Europe's security will be intact. They will have to kiss Trump's butt
willingly though.
There you go making assumptions again with an unpredictable madman in charge. And why should they have to kiss trump's butt? This is how wars start.

Again, let's change the license plates of New Hampshire.
