Lots of registered Republicans are, maybe even a majority...
I won't disagree. Talking to Americans in general about politics is always a convoluted treat.

Odds this story is completely made up?

I mean, yes, it is possible Donald Trump is that shitty a person, but considering Bedminster wasn't open today...

At this point it can be safely said that the shooter is a registered voter
who selected Republican as party affiliation in his registration application.
It is not known if he had a voting record and if he had joined the Republican
party.
Odds are likely against him having joined the Republican party because most people don't do that in the US in any way.
They register with a party if they live in a state that matters (PA has closed primaries, so that would explain that.)
It would also be interesting to know when he registered as a Republican?
He would have been eligible to vote in 2022 if he is 20 now, but may not have registered as a party then.
Registering in 2022 would make him much more likely to have voted, as well, since if he just registered in 2024 then this would be his first Presidential election and probably means he never voted before.

He is a Registered Republican who was probably pissed off with what Trump stood for. Yes, he could have voted for The Democrats to keep Trump out of office.
Several Republicans hate Trump. But the fact is that he is NOT a "Libtard" like OP alleged!!
We know nothing about his beliefs other than he registered as a Republican at least once.
I don't even know if that public record is from 2022 or 2024 or if they have proof he registered both times. (It is also possible PA is one of the states where once you are registered, you don't have to do it again unless you need to update or change something, in which case there should only be one time he did it.)

We don't know anything else.
If his social media posts or other evidence comes out, we might learn more.

Very true. Lefties only know how to handle a penis, not a gun.
And when they do handle a penis, they're usually trying to shoot themselves in the face.

Yeah…a whole $15. I know that probably seems like a lot of money to you, B1000, but to most of us that’s not even pocket change.

🤑
The weird part there is the timing.
Not a lot of people donate to a get out the vote thing on Inauguration Day.
Still, we know nothing more about it so can't conclude much from it.

Anyone who relies on info on this from twitter is either part of a bot farm or gullible. I get the desire to understand what's happening but with the way social media is being abused by 'bad actors' I'll wait for verifiable statements.

What we actually know:
- there was some kind of breakdown in security.
- The shooter has been named and made $15 donation to a democrat leaning PAC when he was 17 and registered as a Republican when he was 18.

Anything else is idle speculation and bullshit promoted by people with an axe to grind.
Do we actually have it confirmed he registered as a Republican back in 2022?
I hadn't seen any date put on that and the PA registration website is now blocking all traffic.

I am no expert in U.S. party politics. But isn't that voter has to be registered
as a Republican to vote against Trump in the presidential primary election?
It depends on the state.

Pennsylvania has a closed primary, so yes, if you wanted specifically to vote against Trump in this year's Republican presidential primary, you would need to register as a Republican.

The guy was only 18 when he registered so it is also possible he got the tactic voting out Trump mistaken.
What does this sentence even mean?
If he registered when he was 18 (you're the second person stating this but I haven't actually seen any confirmation for it) then he registered for the midterms in 2022, which makes the whole "he registered as a Republican to oppose Trump" narrative rather unlikely.

But I would want to see some actual documents and dates on that.

Um, no, um, I think I'm doing pretty good in life buttercup and I think the Repugs will lose in November as they've done every election after 2016.
Um getting frustrations from seeing someone survive an attempted murder isn't "doing good" squeeze..you know you can't sleep tight at night thinking...it was an earshot...that was only a few inches to the right and it was good night for Trump.

The shooter is a registered Republican, far-right winger, and gun advocate. It's not the Democrats doing this.
