Ummm, relevance to trans athletes?

I wouldn't be either since tennis was possibly the very 1st sport in which this issue trans players came up (I'm guessing mid-70's) and was highly publicized. I believe that the person involved was a doctor.

I'm not sure if you've heard of wikipedia, but there's a wealth of info there if you want to research it. If you find something maybe you could post the link for us.

I wonder if there is any connection between the increased number of Trans people in recent years, and environmental pollution and/or food additives, such as growth hormones added to commercially grown chickens. Chemicals in the environment have had this effect on animals like frogs.

If there was a major ground war in the future and military conscription was re-introduced, I wonder how many 'lottery losers' would go Trans to draft dodge.

Gender logic:

Diamonds are a girl's best friend. A dog is Man's best friend. Ipso facto, Diamond Dogs are an hermaphrodite's best friends.

I know this post may upset some and I won’t engage with comments that are transphobic.

Looks like you're transhypocrite, snatching the gold in the virtue signaling contradict yourself Olympics.

When are you fighting MIke Tyson?

Actually, the women in professional tennis don't have to work as hard as the men to receive equal pay. Men's matches are three out of five sets, and women's are two out of three. Men's tennis is also much more aggressive; many points are won on service aces and forced errors resulting from the players using the whole court. Women's tennis is often volleying from the baseline, and hoping that the opponent can't return the ball over the net within the boundary lines.

I don't enjoy watching professional tennis. The referees take too much guff from prima donna players questioning judgement calls. If the refs had had the stones to discipline John McEnroe when he started that, there wouldn't be so many others emulating him. Refs blow calls sometimes, usually an equal number for each player, so they even out. An emotionally mature person accepts the decision of the appointed arbitrator, whether or not they agree with the decision.
Most men's matches are best of three. Only best of 5 in slam events.

As has been mentioned previously. If a woman decides to go through the process and become a man. Then I have no problem with them attempting to compete with biological males.

And I'm sure the male athletes will have no issues accepting them into the changerooms.

But surprise surprise we just don't see that........Could it be because they are at a biological disadvantage being born a woman?

Listen I could a rats ass what you want to do with your body. But this whole idea that gender is a social construct that the post modernist's are espousing is blatantly wrong.

I always see a red flag when trans people are attacked.

People know that it is impossible to get away with misogyny, so they chose the next best thing, the trans people.

Few people chose to make fun of schizophrenic's, but trans people, who by all measures have a very difficult life, are easy prey.

There is some debate about whether Lia is, in fact, legitimately Trans, or merely a man on Performance Inhibiting Drugs, trolling women's college sports.

***

Anyone who rode the TTC in the 80's/ 90's knows that one person in a hundred is schizophrenic. There's an easy way to spot them: They appear yellow in a black and white photograph.

Nobody's attacking them because they're trans. They're expressing their view that what Lia is doing is 100% completely unfair. And that does not make one transphobic.

I have not seen any posts about the South African runner Caster Semenya.

Seems to me the trans people are being targeted.

Renée Richards, formerly Richard Raskind.
I remember she was a complete failure on the women's tour. When he was a male, he was a good but far from a great tennis player and by the time he "converted" I think he was already in his mid 40's and past her prime. An interesting footnote and a sideshow, nothing more. On the other hand, I think any male tennis player in the top 50 (or 75 or 100?) can beat any women player.

I do remember Bobby Riggs in his 50's beating Margaret Court and later lost to Billie Jean King but he was allowed only one serve and had to cover the doubles court.

Renée Richards coached Martina Navratilova to two Wimbledon titles after retiring from pro tennis. She did not Transition for the purpose of having a physical advantage over other tennis players who had been female since birth. If Renée had not been a professional tennis player, she would likely not have a Wikipedia biography page today.

Somebody wrote:"why have separate locker rooms?"

When I was a student in Copenhagen, it was somewhat of a talking point that male and female students shared locker room at the Physical Education Institute at Copenhagen University.

As far as I remember the students were not converted to salt pillars.
I also heard that male and female soldiers in the Danish military shower together.

Nice attempt at deflection and shutting down legitimate discussion. Not happening.
