Poulin and Loiselle out as assistant GMs of Leafs. Kyle Dubas in as new assistant GM. This is Shanahan making first front office change.
On most teams he would be a 5th or 6th defenseman. He's only 4th with the Leafs because 5th and 6th are worse. Should have paid him what they paid last year and bonused him if he has a good year instead of rewarding him for a crap year. Booth is a fine player, I got nothing against him. If he can regain his touch from a few years ago, all the better. but the Leafs need two defensemen.

Put Franson against the likes of Crosby and he won't be a plus player. Fraser was a + but would you put him to try to stop anyone decent?

One will be Gardiner, maybe the other will come from the Marlies ... I think they are ready to give Granberg a shot.
