The Leafs have a 4th line that can be used like they should be, eating up key minutes and causing the other team fits and Babcock knows how to utilize these guys.
Now if they can only get a #1 Dman.

Don't disagree with you, call was at best "iffy". However, it was nice to get a call for a change.
The call on Zaitsev for cross checking Marchand was not any better. Marchand should have been called for unsportsmanlike conduct (embellishment).
The spear to the face of Andersen was not called, but a smart move on Martin goading BrontoBurger into a duel minor.
This is exciting, the Leafs are winning against the team they must defeat. Not sure why Babcock waited so long to pair Reilly with Polak. As good a defender that Zaitsev is, he's not the nasty homeboy Reilly needs to excel.

Leafs can really pad their lead on the teams behind them as Panthers, Lightning lose. Bruins lost so Leafs have 2 games in hand with 1pt behind. The Flyers are losing. Leafs have a tough task against Columbus (which I think will be a stinker).
All around good night scoreboard watching. Boston, Tampa and Florida all lost in regulation.
The Leafs can control their own fate for as high as 3rd in the division.
Easier opponent but they'll have less energy and prob playing their backup so they can conceiveably lose both games.
As long as they don't go fishing before the game they'll be alright :adoration:
It's not fishing trip that's the problem, it's taking the photo and posting it on twitter.
If they could go 2-1-1 (5 points in 4 games) every time I wouldn't even care if they went ice fishing cos that'd give them roughly 95 points and a playoff spot.
They have often started games off slowly but goalie bails them out like most great goalies do and it becomes a non story cause team wins .. Anderson wasn't his brilliant self that night and slow start killed them .. Leafs have had blow out losses this season and they weren't fishing the previous night and so don't know why it is even a story .
Leafs sweep Boston. Every game was 4-1 for the Leafs at some point. Won every game in regulation so Boston did not get a point from the Leafs this season.
Now Columbus. Even just a point would be ok, but a win is always preferred.
