Experience vs youth/speed, it'll be a fun game to watch. I wonder if there'll be a Martin-McQuaid rematch. Martin landed most of his punches on the visor and it wasn't a fair fight when one had better protection, so for good honour sake I hope McQuaid takes off his visor if he's going to fight Martin again.

The Leafs have already exceeded my expectations so anything hereon in will be bonus. Like Cherry said, the drive for a playoff spot can be more fun to watch than the playoffs. Just hope they can at least stay in it till the end.

I enjoy 3 on 3 but hate the shootout, and it's nothing to do with me being a Leaf fan. Unless they want to go back to ties, and with the way the schedule being so cramped thus prohibiting longer overtime, shootout seems the only logical way to determine the outcome.

I get the impression that when the score is tied with 2-3 minutes left, the teams seem to play "caustious" hockey to try to ensure they get at least 1 point.

Exactly. Which is why there should be added incentive for a win. Think about how much more exciting the playoff race would be if a team knew they had to win instead of tie.

Because every week or two he comes up with another rule change.

He doesn't want extra innings in baseball, so might as well get rid of overtime in hockey because the home team doesn't do well.
