And once again you are talking out of your ass. This trade was a steal for the Leafs.
Sorry but shouldn't we let these two guys play for their different teams before we determine what was a steal . There was a time not so long ago that Schenn was talked about in the context of being the Leaf's next Captain .

Have you seen Schenn play, addition by subtraction.

Great trade for both teams if both players play to their potential....

Toronto needs a top six forward (especially one with size and skills)...

D men are not nearly as hard to come by as centermen, something that we are desperate for. Grigorenko would have been a better pick than Rielly,
Good call on the Schenn trade prediction.

Grigorenko was too much of a gamble for Burke (and apparently for other GMs)...

He could be a great player in a few years or he could be a complete bust like Zherdev and Filatov....

Somewhere
Wrong.

Luke Schenn played 79 of 82 games in the 2011-12 season.
He averaged 16:02 t.o.i.
My bad, I saw afterwards that he was a healthy scratch for 3 games as you mentioned. It did feel like he wasn't played often though. The ice time total could be misleading when a couple of their guys went down with injuries and he had to play more. My point was that he wasn't their most trusted guy, and no one can argue that he made way too many mistakes.

No way
Not even close
He languished on the Flyers 4th line last year
He is well known as being soft and made of glass
He was one of the names that kept popping up during the trade deadline last year and all the panels agreed that he can be a top 6 so you must know better than other GM's and hockey experts that the networks employ. You need to remember also who are on the flyers – Claude Giroux, Danny Briere, Wayne Simmonds, Brayden Schenn, Scott Hartnell are all darn good forwards that can be top 6 on most teams and therefore pushing JVR further down on the Flyer's depth chart.

Says the king jackass
I think you have that honour sewed up tight.

I thought you said it was too early to discuss the Leafs.

Please enough with hockey and the Leafs for a few months at least.

Every player or coach in the league is OK by duhj00 until they are associated with the Leafs in which case they become totally useless.

Try to find any post where he says something bad about JVR while he was with the Flyers.

Oh i know they could have traded Schenn for Crosby and it would be a bad trade for the Leafs according to that jackass.

For sure. Crosby is fragile and would be too big of a cap hit.

Not in a Leaf thread. I am far too rational unlike most deeply deluded Leaf fans.

I thought you said it was too early to discuss the Leafs.
Yes you are right.
I will step aside until October.
It's just too juicy to try to egg on Leaf fans.
You can actually see the smoke come out of their ears as they type.
It's awesome.

Finally a realistic quote from your troubled mind about the Leafs.
You are 100% correct!!!

Wow! Your wit slays me.
You don't get it do you . Every transaction the Leafs do proves Burke is a genius . Just ask Leaf fans every summer .

Oh by the way , Isn't funny how the media and fans are blamed for over hyping and putting to much presure on Leafs draft pics and what does Burke do Saturday ? He says if the Leafs won the lottery and were picking number 1 they would have drafted the guy they drafted .

Luongo says NO to the Leafs?
Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Vancouver Canucks goaltender has refused to waive his no-trade clause for deals that would see him shipped to the Toronto Maple Leafs or Chicago Blackhawks, according to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Post-Dispatch. "Told by very good source Canucks G Roberto Luongo has -- to this point -- declined to waive no-trade clause to go to Blackhawks or Leafs," Portzline tweeted Monday. "Luongo using the power of his no-trade to 'steer' a trade to Tampa Lightning or Florida Panthers as much as possible at this point in off-season."

Don't want him.

Looks like Gillis is getting painted into a very tight corner.

Remember when Phillips scored on his own net in game 5? LOLzZZ

Did you cry?...u cried:)

Leafs win their 14th before ott wins their measly little 1st.

JVR was a great pickup. It makes Mac expendable now. We dont really want him in a checking role on the 3rd line.

I at one time wanted the Leafs to get him but the more the process plays itself out the more I say no . His contract is for a long time and that means tons of headaches for manegment for years to come .

I am a little surprised that there is not much more talk about Radulov in Leaf land. We are hearing all kinds of discussion about Nash but I think Rads might be a much better fit - and likely would cost the team only some money and maybe a low draft choice.

I do not want to hear about the curfew thing. Mistakes are made and we never heard his side of the story. The guy has 30-35 goal talent and was huge for Nashville in beating Detroit. He is a big body and would very dangerous on the PP with Kessel and Lupul. Heatley killed a teamate and three teams have had him since then.

I like him much better than Nash and it would not cost the Leafs a boat load of prospects.
